Pet care experience
I’ve been raised in a household with animals since I was very young. I moved in with my brother over a year ago and since then have cared for, baby sat, and loved the animals I live with. I share a house with five cats and a dog! And we are currently fostering a second dog, which I have cared for as well. I’m capable of dedicating my time and affection to pets to give them the care they want and deserve! I’m glad to answer any questions related to my experience or anything you may want to ask!

Olivia has been a tremendous help as a part-time caretaker of our pets, as well as several other people's pets, over the past decade. Olivia exhibits a passion for animals and is quick to assist when they need to be let out to the bathroom, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, cleaning up messes, and showing them general love and affection. She leverages her customer service experience and skills to assist others when they need care for their pets in their absence. It's obvious to anyone that Olivia has a heart for animals and is genuinely concerned for not only their well-being, but their happiness. Since I live with family members and other animals, I’m not able to bring another animal into my home. But I am able to pet sit in the owner’s home. I would be sure to follow any specific instructions from the owner for the pet like I do with my own pets at home. Of course that can all be discussed!

I feel it is very important to know the personality of the dog. What affection do they like, what don’t they like? What commands do they know? How do they behave around other dogs and new environments, new people? What activities do they like to do, what don’t they like to do? How would they react to another animals smell? It’s very important to get to know the dog or even the cat before just assuming they will be okay with something. I’ve seen or heard of multiple instances a cat reacted negatively to another animals smell or a dog getting tired of playing a certain way with another dog. So I’ve been sure to educate myself more on dog and cat behavior to see signs to avoid those situations for the safety of the animal and myself!
A typical day
Depending on the area you live, I know of a lot of great parks in Lancaster County I use to live by or have gone to myself. There is also a great park right by the river! I also love playing fetch with dogs or of course, tug of war! I found it fun to play tag with dogs and cats, and also hide and seek! And after play time, there will always be cuddle time.

Availability
My brother recently had a child so I help out a lot with the dogs and cats in the house, or even baby sit my nephew. I got into a routine of taking the dogs out and feeding them on their schedule for breakfast and dinner. I’m capable of watching the dogs play and walking them if needed. My dog and foster dog are bigger breeds, so I’m comfortable with those as well as smaller. I also care for my own personal cat with feeding him and making sure he has water throughout the day. And of course, the litter! [[ Working on updating my availability but I am available pretty much whenever! We can always discuss dates and times. Working out the kinks on the calendar on here.]]
