I’ve cared for two dogs my whole life. I currently have an 80 pound goldendoodle, Link who I have trained and cared for over the past 3 years. My old dog was Oscar, a 20 pound maltice-shihtzu mix, to whom I had to give daily insulin shots and pills for his diabetes. He was also blind due to diabetic cataracts and had on-and-off seizures. He also had an auto-immune disease which affected his life greatly. Sadly he has passed away. I believe pets deserve the world so I will give your pet as much loving as I give my own dog at home. I play fetch, give great belly rubs, and aim to give each and every animal the happiness they deserve. My dog is my best friend and I can sympathize with the amount of love every person must have for their animal. I also am studying animal science at LSU in hopes of being accepted into LSU’s veterinary institution next year. I want to become a great veterinarian who can inform people and aid many owners with their animal’s needs. Over the summer, I have shadowed and volunteered at River Road veterinary clinic in New Orleans 3 days a week. I have learned so much about the health and well-being of small animals from the fantastic staff at this clinic. This year I will be taking a companion animal course and I am excited to further my career and knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine.
