Hello, my name is Oli! Originally from Ohio, I relocated to Cali in 2020. Throughout my childhood, my mom didn't allow me to have a dog, which led me to rebel by dedicating myself entirely to them in my adult life. From a very young age I knew I wanted to devout my life to working with animals, and I'm definitely living my dream! I live with my husband and our three wonderful dogs: Kaylee, an Australian cattle dog/malamute mix; Hunter, an Australian cattle dog; and Vincenzo, a tiny super mutt, who is surprisingly also 35% cattle dog. Herding dog breeds have stolen my heart, I am absolutely crazy about their high energy and intelligence. I've worked with dogs and cats for around 15 years now. I started pet sitting and volunteering at shelters at 13 years old. I love being able to give my client's peace of mind and care for their pets while they're away. My first job was at a dog kennel, handling up to around 50 dogs in a daycare and boarding environment. I ended up working in kennels for years, and learned so much in that time, it helped me become a pro at reading dog body language! Some of the facilities even had kitty cat boarding, so I still got to hang with feline friends. I have also worked in veterinary medicine, animal care in a shelter, and assisting groomers. My extensive experience has assisted me in taking care of my clients' pets. I can provide helpful advice on their health and behavior. I am also comfortable administering medications, including insulin, to your pet. My bathing service also includes a nail trim/dremel if your dog is cooperative and I'm not stressing them out. My deepest joy comes from dog walking and pet sitting, which led me to pursue it full time. I love all of my clients and every bond I create with their pets is treasured dearly. To expand my clientele and get in more dog walks throughout the week, I decided to join Rover.
