A student looking for some dog-handling experience
Pet care experience
I am a current third year bioveterinary science student at the University of Lincoln, who is planning to apply for a master's degree in the near future and the application for it requires a hands-on experience with dogs. I am condifent in handling animals, I am a kind, calm and reliable person, who you can trust. I do not have much experience in this sphere, however, I have walked a few of my friend's dogs (including German Shepherd, Husky and Dachshund) from time to time and I do have a dog of my own back home, a german shepherd. I have been a huge animal lover since the very childhood, and have rescued 3 stray puppies and found a loving home for each and every one of them (one of which became my own dog eventually). In addition to this, I have visited and volunteered at my local animal shelter quite a few times, providing the shelter with some dog food and, sometimes, my dog walker service. Moreover, over the past summer I have completed a 3-week placement at the University of Lincoln's animal behaviour clinic studying behavioural problems in dogs, which provided me with a valuable knowledge in dog behaviour aspects and taught how to implement it in real life. I love spending time with dogs, so I am definitely looking forward to meeting some new animals as I do miss my own dog so much being so far away from home while at university.
