Pet care experience
I am a dog person! Never met a pup I didn’t like🙂 I love dogs and they love me back! ❤️ Have experience taking care of my two dogs, thru good times and thru bad times…from a happy puppyhood to the active senior years and til the last breath… Really miss having a pup around the house but not ready to become a full time “dog mom” once again just yet… I have a yard and a dog-friendly house. Offering a safe environment, attention and love to your furry family member. All dogs are welcome - crate or no crate, size, age and any special needs are not an issue. One condition: we would need to meet with your pup first to make sure we both like each other, and both are comfortable together.
Reviews
My chow chow rescue has anxiety so we had a meet and greet in a park, meet and greet in Olga and her partner's home, a daycare trial, and an overnight trial. I really appreciate Olga offering solutions and ideas to set us up for the most comfortable stay. There were no issues giving him meds (sometimes he can be difficult with that) and he was excited to run towards their house every time. Chows aren't very affectionate, but he likes to greet Olga with kisses. I'll definitely book again for future short-term stays and hopefully a long term stay when he's ready. I'd suggest anyone considering Olga to book ahead though, as her calendar fills up fast, but I can see why!
Olga D. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
This was the second time we left Bruno with Olga. When we approached her house he started wiggling his tail and was really excited when she opened the door. This was awesome to see! When we left , he wasn’t sad at all. Bruno is usually very anxious to stay with someone, but he told us with his behavior that he didn’t mind to stay with Olga. We really appreciated Olga’s daily updates and pictures. Bruno looked super happy. I definitely recommend Olga.
Our 6 year old girl had been with the same sitter much of her life. We are seeking out an additional caregiver for the times when our current one is not available. We had a meet and greet with Olga and I was felt very comfortable with her calm and kind energy. We scheduled a day sit with Olga to allow both our girl and Olga to gauge their level of comfort with each other and it was a definite fit! Olga's home is quiet and calm and Olga is diligent, gentle and caring about the comfort and wellness of visiting pets. We are very happy we found Olga and we will certainly be booking longer doggy vacations with Olga in future!

Information Olga D. would like to know about your pet
Let me know whether your dog has any special needs and any other health/behaviour related info please. For long stays: I prefer to have at least one day trial beforehand to make sure your pup and I are a good fit.
A typical day
A typical day schedule depends on the weather and your pup preferences/needs :-) Typically it will be a short walk early AM, breakfast, longer walk - on a local trail or just on a quiet street in our N.Van area, then rest - a rug in front of a fireplace or a huge balcony are usually the favourite spots. Play, eat, go to the park or a beach - if your pup is up to it. Maybe a trail again - depends on your pup activity level/needs/habits. Rest, short walk, sleep etc. Dogs are usually very happy campers here :-) Basically I am just being a “foster mom” or maybe “an aunty” to your pup while you are away.

Availability
Update: I work from home now, my schedule is still quite flexible (with some exceptions). We all know life is unpredictable, if you are one of my “returning clients” you can bring your dog in and pick them up almost anytime. I also do pick ups (anytime outside of my regular work hours 7am to 3 pm on a workday). Normally I will spend 24 hrs a day with your pup.
