I'm a fur mom of one very sweet kitty, Moquis. Our kitty, Jalisco, who was diabetic since he was five years old gave me the experience to administer medications orally, but also insulin injections twice a day. He also underwent chemo treatment which also at times, I had to do fluids under the skin. My kitty Moquis is four years old and a very shy kitty, so I understand about being calm and patient with sensitive animals. I grew up taking care of the family cats and dogs throughout my childhood. And throughout my life, I have had to take care of many friend's pets (cats and dogs) while they were out of town. But most importantly, with having a diabetic cat, who underwent chemo treatment, made me learn a whole other level of pet care. One has to be dedicated to one's pets. My pets are my family, so I can truly say, animals are an essential part of my life. I'm also a freelance photographer and I've been interpreting an asylum case for the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights, so empathy and compassion are key ingredients of how I live my life.
