Additional Terms: Please note: 1. Three Day Minimum. We do not accept hosting for single night stays preferring long weekends+. We have our maid thoroughly clean our home after each pet hosting to remove dog smells to avoid urine ("marking their boundaries") issues - the cost to clean exceeds the net proceeds to us for a single night’s stay. 2. We do not accept pets with potential incontinence issues - puppies under 1 year old or senior pets - generally 10 years or older. 3. We do accept up to 2 pets from the same owner - pets who are accustomed to / friendly living together. Daily rate for 2 pets is $80. My name is Norm, a realtor in Carmel and my wife Mary Sue is a psychotherapist and nutritionist. We are both lifelong dog lovers/owners and don't have a pet of our own. Our schedules are flexible allowing time to take long walks around our 50 acre living community, Hacienda Carmel with abundant green belt areas for enjoying nature. The streets are safe with multiple speed humps slowing traffic. The complex is located adjacent to the Carmel River South Rim Trail - a wonderful path flanked by a ranch and golf course commonly used to walk dogs. Our complex has a one-mile walking berm that is dog-friendly. There is a dog park on-site, as well. We'd love to have your dog join us on our walks! We live in a two bedroom, two bath ground level condominium - a fenced back yard with a spring loaded hinge closure. Our beloved lab, "Bagel", developed diabetes in the last years of her life so I am familiar with giving insulin shots. Trust that we will treat your dog like we would our own - as a family member.
