Hi All! A few quick, temporary notes here: so many of you have met our sweet Hemi. It breaks our hearts to say that he has passed. He had a freak accident with a horse at my in-laws house. It’s been a few months now and our hearts are still heavy. He was loved by so many people and pups. Also, as many of my frequent pet parents know, we are a military family. In July it will be time for us to move on. As we prepare to move and sell our house, we will not be taking any new pups. If you’ve used me in the past please feel free to send me a request! I would love to see my repeat pups again before we leave. I will try my best to keep my calendar up to date. I’m already booking up fast! With that said, we will be putting our house on the market in May, and when there is a showing, our home will need to be empty. Of course I will try to plan showings around pups. But please know that if we have to show our house while your pup is here, we will need to leave for a bit. I completely understand if this makes some of you uncomfortable. To all of my beloved pups and parents, I will miss you so much! I will forever be grateful to all of you for helping me build this little business and community. It was a pleasure to know all of you! So many of you have asked for recommendations. Since we lived here for only three years, and were lucky enough to have friends and family watch Hemi while we traveled, I don’t have any experience with boarding. All I can recommend is to search rover (or another pet sitting platform) again. Always, always, always do a meet and greet. Always ask to go inside during the meet and greet. You have the right to know what kind of environment your pup will be staying in. Try your best to drop your pup off and don’t leave before your pup has been introduced to the rest of the pups. Make sure they send you frequent pictures! I usually try to send one a day. I hope all of you have good experiences! I grew up on a small farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. As an adult I’ve potty trained our husky. For years we lived far from family and made frequent trip back to visit, so we know exactly how it feels to leave your furry family member behind.
