I am a long time shelter dog volunteer handler and foster. I've fostered seniors with special needs and dogs with behavior issues. Happy to train! I genuinely understand what it's like to have a dog with behavior issues and how hard it can be to entrust them with a stranger. I will care for and work with your dog as if they are my own. I have worked along side Noelle for years at multiple Animal Shelter’s supporting large breed dogs. Noelle’s handling skills are excellent, she is attentive, knowledgeable, and well respected in the animal welfare world. Her behavioral knowledge is superior and being an owner of 4 block-headed dogs, cat, pig, rabbits and guinea pigs there are few individuals I trust to care for my pets in a responsible and compassionate manner. I’m very protective over my little chihuahua terrier. She’s a real handful and not the best listener and gets herself into trouble, so I’m always very reluctant to have anyone watch her…and, I also want to go out of town from time to time. Noelle is the only person I have ever left her with where I felt truly comfortable and calm! I knew that with Noelle, my little love would be kept safe and cared for. Because of her extensive work with dogs of different backgrounds and challenges, she was enthusiastic and very at ease about navigating her bad behaviors. Not only that, but my dog had a great time! She absolutely loves Noelle, is so excited to see her, and even gave me some side eye when I came to pick her up, because she didn’t want to leave. I would recommend Noelle as a dog sitter to absolutely anyone—and that’s coming from an anxious and over the top dog owner (me) of an anxious and over the top dog!
Noelle is a compassionate and knowledgeable dog handler. In addition to the dogs she owns, she ahas successfully fostered many shelter dogs including some with special needs. She volunteers and works with shelter animals on a regular basis a d I am fortunate to have her as a neighbor so I can count on her to take care of my pack when needed. I would highly recommend her as a sitter and walker.

I have a fully fenced yard and 3 dogs in my home. Our dogs are friendly with big and small dogs but I only use very slow introductions to ensure peaceful cohabitation. If your dog does not prefer the company of other dogs, no problem! I have had many fosters who couldn't be with other dogs and I am very competent in crate and rotate. Your dog/dogs will get plenty of exercise and I will work on leash skills for walking. One of my dogs is very reactive on leash and I have successfully used gentle leaders to help train a reactive dog to walk calmly on leash. I will NEVER use a prong collar. My methods are only positive reinforcement based and treats are a must!

A typical day
I live in Curtis Park and there are many parks near by. I will never have your dog/dogs off leash in public places. If you need help with socializing your dog, I am happy to do that! If your dog is fearful with other dogs or humans, I can assist with slow socialization to help your dog gain confidence.

I work 3-4 days a week in the Bay Area, so I am only available certain days. Most weekends and alternating week days are available.
