Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats. I love them both, yet I cannot deny – I am partial to the majestic feline, particularly as I have had enduring relationships with them, and have recently had to say goodbye to my beloved senior rescue, Whiz, at 14.5 years. I have four years of experience with senior and palliative cat care, and truly understand the importance of giving senior animals the attention they deserve in their golden years. I am comfortable administering medications as well as providing warm, gentle and attentive companionship and play. I am also happy to care for well-behaved, small to medium-sized pups. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved and attended to in the time you are away.

Noele was amazing! Both of my kitties came out to play and enjoyed their time together. They looked like they were having so much fun in all their photos! They were happy and content when I came home, and they seemed comfortable and at peace when I would check on my pet cam in the evenings. It makes me happy when I know that my kitties know they have someone coming to check up on them and keep them from feeling anxious while I'm away.
My cat, Billy, came from a feral litter, and usually hides whenever being boarded. This was the case this time as well, but Billy emerged from hiding near the end of his stay. Noele sent daily updates. Noele is really great- I think she understands Billy as well as anyone could. I have the utmost confidence in her. I hope to be able to board Billy with Noele again.
Noele is a natural care taker and lover of animals! Watching her care for her late cat Whiz, I witnessed her patience and gentleness when administering medication and how she went to great lengths to get him the attention he needed. I would have no doubt she would be as patient and caring with anyone else’s furry friends.

I gently allow cats to greet me on their own terms to suss out their unique temperaments and comfort level with strangers. I then assess whether they would like to engage with toys for playtime, or whether a bit of physical affection, or other gentle forms of companionship, might be preferred. I ensure that water and food bowls are clean and topped up as specified by pet owner, and that medications are administered if needed. I understand the need for a sanitary litter box area, so if supplies (garbage bags, broom and dustpan) are left out by owner, I will have all I need to ensure the area is left clean for dear pets.

I appreciate any heads up that an owner can give me about their pet's quirks, idiosyncrasies, or sensitivities so I can be mindful of their needs. I would also prefer to work with animals who are up to date on their shots, and are generally well-behaved. Thank you!
A typical day
I love to give praise to animals; I have seen the transformative power of praise to animals and all beings. And playtime is so important, too - this is some cats' love languages! I'm happy to work with kitty's preference, whether that means swatting a few mice around, playing with the wand toy, or breaking out the catnip! Petting, brushing, and cuddling, might be next on the list, if that's what your pet is up for. In general, I like to respect cats' boundaries, and allow them to dictate what quality time means to them - yet please let me know if there is anything specific you as pet owner would like, as well.

Availability
I am a student at a remote university, which has the advantage of a flexible schedule. I am used to caring for pets (specifically cats) with special needs, and since the passing of my dear cat Whiz, I am left with extra time I would like to pay forward to caring for other animals.
