To all of my Portland pet parents: I will be moving away from Portland at the end of February, and I will no longer be available for bookings after Feb 25th. It's been such a pleasure to get to know all of you and your adorable cats! Each of your kitties has stolen a piece of my heart and I will miss all of them so much, I can't fully put it into words. I'm so sad to be leaving all their furry faces behind, but I'll take with me all of the sweet and fun memories of my time with them! Thank you for the trust you've placed in me over the years. Shy cats, affectionate cats, elder cats, nervous cats, lazy cats, and crazy cats - whatever kind of cat you have, I love them already! Friends and family know me as the "kitty whisperer" and turn to me to figure out why their cat does that weird thing and what they're trying to communicate. I aspire to spend my golden years perfecting my crazy cat lady game. I like people, of course (some of my best friends are people), but cats really have my heart and I'm always learning more about how to best care for the cats in my life. I come from a family of cat lovers and I bring a lifetime of experience, having always had cats in my home and growing up with cats literally in the cradle with me. I've raised and hand-nursed litters of kittens and fostered stray and feral cats, helping them get socialized, learn to trust humans and find their forever homes. I have a wealth of knowledge on cat behavior, health, and emotional wellness. I'm particularly interested in how cats communicate their needs to humans and it helps me be an excellent cat sitter. I'm experienced with giving medication and with medical aftercare (injuries, surgeries, etc.) for those cats with special health needs. As a Rover, I specialize in cat care only. I'll look after your cat's health, feeding, affection, and playtime needs with the same love and care I would for my own fur babies. I currently have one cat of my own, who has been with me since he was a kitten, and two step cats. My cat, Mouse, is absolutely my best friend and constant companion. Whether your cat needs medication given, has special feeding instructions, is picky about an extra clean litterbox, or just appreciates the company of humans who understand feather teasers and slow blinks, I'll make sure they're cared for and happy when you're away. I can also bring in mail and packages, take out trash or recycling, and water and care for houseplants during visits of 60 mins or more. I have an assorted collection of about 100 healthy plants at home, so your leafy babies are also in good hands!
