My love for animals goes as far back as I can remember. I love animals for their unique personalities, playful nature, and ability to live fully immersed in the moment. I’ve always grown up with dogs, so I’m experienced in training, walking, and engaging in play with a wide variety of breeds and ages. My wife and I are currently proud owners of a sweet 6 month old puppy and two quirky cats, so I understand the unique needs of different animals. They are truly all so different, and I treat all pet sitting experiences as brand new so I can get to know each animal for the individual they are. I specialize in personalized walking, puppy training, and attentive drop-in visits. I am trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated to providing the best care possible for your pets. Beyond loving animals, Nikolai truly values animals as worthy of all the same love and attention that us humans get. Not only is he attuned to their needs, he wants them to enjoy life and will do his best to make sure any pet is having a great time! From anxious pups to curious cats, Nikolai always makes sure animals are safe and cared for. He has experience with many different animal personalities, and is the kind of person that animals always seem to gravitate towards. Responsible would be an understatement when it comes to the standard of care he provides his own pets and all others. Timely, adherent to feeding/walking schedules, and respectful of established routines, Nikolai is always my first pick when it comes to petsitting.
You’ve heard that dogs are a person’s best friend. Well, Nikolai Beer is a dog’s (or cat or bunny or turtle or…) best friend. His dog and two cats can attest to that. So can I. I’m not a dog or cat but I have observed Nikolai’s interactions with dogs and cats for many years. He is a kind, responsible, pet loving human animal who both respects individual pet autonomy and is skilled in offering empathetic training. If there is any downside to his pet care, it might be that your pets will end up secretly loving him more than you (just kidding!). Hire Nikolai and your pets will love you more for it.
Nikolai is my go to for pet sitting! He always gets my very active dog’s energy out with long walks when I have to be at work. He has even helped me in training my dog and working on commands! He is also great with my cats who don’t normally love other people- they sat on his lap and loved the extra attention. I feel at peace knowing my fur babies are in the best of hands with Nikolai.
Nikolai takes the best care of our fur babies! He has such a genuine care for animals; our cats adore him. He is incredibly responsible and trustworthy, always communicates well and makes us feel so comfortable leaving our kitties in his care. Highly recommend!

I have a sweet 6 month old lab of my own, so if you are wanting your dog to get some playtime during the day I’m happy to bring Juniper along. She is very friendly with both dogs and cats. I am accepting care in my own home, but I am also happy to come to you to care for your pets. I can do walks around your neighborhood, keep up with feeding and medication schedules, or give your dog a bathroom break during your work day. I can also do drop in visits for your cats if they need litter box care, feedings, or play time.

I’d love to know if your pet loves a particular walk or hike, what games they enjoy playing, if they can be taken to a dog park (under supervision), or if they have a special toy or routine that they love. I want to know everything I can about your pets to make sure I can provide the best experience for them.
A typical day
For dogs, I love to go for walks or runs, take trips to dog parks (with permission), or play fetch. We can also visit my puppy at home in our fenced in yard or simply hang out outside and enjoy the weather. For cats, we can play with their string toys, laser pointer, or catnip. I absolutely understand that cats need love and attention just as much as the next pet and I’m always happy to find ways to do that.

Availability
I currently work remotely so I have a very flexible schedule. I love taking breaks throughout the day to get outside and be with animals. I feel fortunate to work from home, but I haven’t always- so I know the anxiety of leaving your pets at home while you go to work or need to travel. Doggy day cares are great, but can sometimes be stressful for both you and your pup. With my services, I come to you and can maintain a routine with your pets that they are already familiar with. Whether you have an energetic puppy that needs long walks and play time, a kitty that needs some extra engagement and attention, or a senior animal that just needs some company and extra loving- I can be your go to sitter! I am also available for overnight visits for an added rate.
