Hi, I’m Nikkia, an avid dog lover and owner who has grown up around pups all my life. Most of my experience comes from training and spending time with German Shepherds and Pitbulls, though I welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes into my home. I have a four-year old American Pitbull Terrier named Satin who loves other dogs and will help me create a social and playful environment for your pup during his stay with us. She has a ton of energy and if your dog does too, know that we prioritize time for lots of play and exercise! I love the outdoors, cooking, music, dancing and most of all dogs! As a pet owner, I value quality, personalized pet sitting and strive to provide the same for others with a safe, comfortable sitting alternative. As a teacher, I work limited hours over the summer, so your dog will have a lot of time to enjoy the company of Satin and myself! I have fostered and volunteered at the Evanston Animal Shelter and have a background in acting and teaching, two areas that serve me well when tending to others’ pets. I have experience working with dogs who suffer from anxiety, aggressive behavior, and injuries. I am also patient, creative and responsible, and will be sure to keep you updated with your pet’s progress and comfort level while you are away.
