Home during day, fully fenced yard!
Pet care experience
I'm available throughout the day to take care of your pup. I offer a positive, safe environment for my dogs and for any dogs that come into our home. I welcome all ages and all breeds of dogs. I live in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. My husband also works from home, so he may help out some too. My backyard is a full quarter acre, with a secure 6 foot fence around it. I provide the personal time, attention, and care that your pup needs while you're gone. I use only evidence based, force-free methods when working with dogs. I believe dogs learn best when they're enjoying themselves. They should be happy and comfortable and I strive to provide that for all dogs in my care. I'm always looking for opportunities to improve my skills. I enjoy hiking with and training my three dogs. I've devoted my life to dogs, and this is my full-time job.
Reviews
Nicki and her husband did a fantastic job w my senior Aussie. They were meticulous in following my recommendations for his care. Plus they sent the best pictures from his time w them!!! Would definitely re-book w them in the future!
Nikki was great with our big boy, Walter. I received pictures and updates while we were away. Definitely recommend!
Nikki was great!! She sent many pictures of Rusty and let us know how he was behaving, how he got along with other dogs, etc. Rusty is 8 and a half years old and hasn't been around other dogs a lot. Nikki seemed to know and appreciate Rusty's issues and walked him a lot with just 1 or 2 other dogs. We will be using Nikki a again for sure !!
Nikki is a great sitter and we are so happy to have found her ! She always returns calls and messages within 5-15 minutes. Her love for dogs is apparent. Both she and her husband seem to read Rusty’s needs and fears accurately and Rusty bonded with them quickly !!

I make sure that every dog in my care has a safe space to call their own. Not all dogs get along with each other, so I rotate dogs as necessary. I assess each dog based on their size, age, and temperament in choosing a good fit. Your dog will never spend time with another dog they don't get along with. I also take into account the temperature when deciding how much time dogs should spend outside vs inside.

Information Nikki S. would like to know about your pet
I try to keep my calendar up to date, but if the dates you are interested in show as unavailable, feel free to double check with me. Occasionally there is a cancellation or I can make a change in my personal schedule that will allow me to host your pup. Daycare/Boarding hours: By appointment only during the following hours: weekdays 7:30am-6pm, Saturdays 8am-6pm, and Sundays 9am-5pm. Please be respectful of my time, as I work to be respectful of yours. I require that all dogs being boarded be either crate trained or that you're okay with me putting them in one of my crates or X-pens. I often have a couple other dogs here, and it's easier to manage them all if they have a space they can call their own. I occasionally have to leave the house for 1-2 hours, and crates help insure that everyone is safe during that time. For either boarding or daycare, your dog MUST be: 1. Up to date on the following vaccinations: rabies, DAPP (aka DHPP), leptospirosis, bordetella, and canine influenza 2. Dog friendly, with no history of aggression. 3. No significant destructive behaviors or excessive barking. In order to provide boarding services, adult dogs (1 year and over) must be crate trained and able to be left alone for at least 2 hours. Puppies can be in the process of crate and house training. I'll provide you with photos and updates throughout your dog's stay. I know how stressful it can be to be away from your dog, and I want to make it as easy as it can be. On the day you drop off your dog for boarding, please bring food with feeding instructions and a bowl if you can. If applicable, bring medication with instructions. I also recommend bringing a bed/blanket they sleep with, favorite toy, and their crate (if possible to transport). It can be scary staying at a new place, so it's good to bring any items that you think will make your dog's stay more comfortable! Thanks for stopping by! I really look forward to meeting you and your dog!
A typical day
Your dog will get plenty of time in my big backyard. They'll have a chance to play with other dogs as temperaments and size allow. I supervise all play to make sure that dogs stay safe. I'll spend time one on one with your dog. We can throw the ball, play with toys, and cuddle on the couch (if you're okay with that). If your dog is more laid back, I'm happy to sit and relax with them, enjoying the yard and the house.
