Back on Rover after a year long hiatus- Switched jobs, moved in with my boyfriend, and aspiring to have my own dog! As a future Dog Mom, I will care for your pets as if they were my own 💗 I have helped my mom take care of Persian cats and deliver and nurse kittens since I was 12. From my own pets and being a pet-sitter, I have taken care of week-old kittens and puppies, 14 year old cats and dogs, and everything in between. I’ve even cared for the occasional turtle, rabbit and duck! 🦆 I have been a Wag! dog walker for over 3 years and have maintained a 5 star rating. As a dog walker, I have experience bonding with and caring for dogs and puppies, large and petite.

Nikki is THE BEST! She took care of my recently spayed puppy Mocha over a weekend while I was out of town. Even before her arrival, she was super organized and gave me a call to learn about Mocha and her schedule to plan our their days while we were out of town. She was really thorough about how I liked to do things with Mocha and took notes on everything. I was so nervous about leaving Mocha for the first time, specially since she had just had a surgery the previous week and wasn't feeling her best. But Nikki was so caring, so attentive and sent me pictures every few hours to update me on Mocha's condition that I never stressed over anything at all during my trip. I knew Mocha was in great hands. She was also so considerate with Mocha and even when she made a mess, Nikki took her time to make sure Mocha and my home were clean before I arrived back. I will definitely be booking Nikki when I have my next trip. She really did take care of my pet like she was her own.

I use natural cleaners and don’t have any plants that could jeopardize the safety of your pets. I live in a residential part of midtown, between Central Park and the East River path, where I can walk and run with your furry pals.

Let me know if your furry friends have any special needs or behaviors ahead of time so I can best prepare to accommodate them. With cats, I am comfortable with all breeds and ages. With dogs, I prefer dogs who understand basic commands who are housebroken and comfortable being wiped/cleaned after walks.
A typical day
Your furry pals are very curious creatures. I want them to feel comfortable sniffing about and resting. My main goal is to ease the separation anxiety that may kick in when your furry friends are away from you. I aim to stick to their regular feeding and walking routines to keep the environment as familiar as possible. I also encourage my clients to bring a lot of items with familiar smells to help their pets feel at home. In addition, I give great neck scratches, belly rubs, and can provide daily brushings, especially for long haired pets. I love play time so be sure to bring their favorite toys!

Availability
I’m an accountant who works remotely Mondays and Fridays. I like to go on a walk in the morning, around lunch time, and after work. My schedule perfectly allows for taking care of your pets while you’re out of town for a long weekend.
