Home away from home for your Dog
Pet care experience
We've used Rover many times while traveling, and now are happy to host as well. We've had dogs for the last 20 years, and before that, grew up with family dogs and cats. We view our pets as a part of the family. When your dog is staying with us, they will have daily walks and access to our enclosed yard for late night potties. If your dog likes to swim, they can also go for a swim in our pool in the summer. We allow dogs to roam and relax where they are comfortable to. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds here. Both my husband and I work from home, and therefore are at home most of the time. Your dog will always have a human and dog companion while staying with us.

Nikki is just what your looking for in a dog sitter: Communicative, reliable and most importantly a nurturing animal lover. I have a senior Pekingese who is a bit "selective" when it comes to who he allows to feed him or even pet him but he took to Nikki immediately. She has come over in a pinch to take him out for me, feed him and even give him his medication. I use a nanny cam when I am out of town and I once even saw her sit down next to Pumba to make sure he finished eating all his food, my heart nearly burst. Would highly recommend Nikki to any pet parent, she's the full package.

Our backyard is fenced, and so is our pool. We have a lush grass patch for pets to potty on. We have some stairs (no more than 3), but in general our home is one level. We have mostly wood floors with some carpet. We sometimes baby gate our dog out of the dining area (as she begs) while we eat. Dogs are allowed on furniture and at the foot of beds here.

We only ask that your dog be well behaved with children. Our kids are 4 and 1 years old. If you are interested in letting us dog sit for you, we'd love to do a meet and greet with our dog, Edie (11 years old), at our home. While she can be a grouchy old lady, she is in fact very sweet.
A typical day
On a typical week day, we are all up around 7am. I will drop the kids off at school in the morning, while my husband stays back to work. He will pick the kids up in the evening, and I'll hang back to start dinner. I typically walk our dog during a break at work. Our neighborhood is flat with sidewalks and very dog friendly. We are sure to scoop our mess on walks, always!

Availability
Both my husband and I work from home, which makes it easy for us to care for your pet 24/7. We live in a flat walkable neighborhood with sidewalks and street lights. We take our own dog on frequent walks, and occasionally to the dog run (like Baldwin or Newhall) or on longer hikes (like Lime Ridge).
