Pet Care Concierge at your service

Pet care experience

I have 35 plus years of pet care experience. I’m constantly learning and expanding my knowledge on my pet experience, training and grooming. Not only have I rescued dozens of cats but also senior extra large dogs and any lost dogs that come across my path. Currently, I’ve trained my dog for service. I’ve provided in house consultation and training for resolving negative behavior with non aversive technique training. I love working with all animals and earning all of their trust. I look forward to respecting, caring and spoiling your fur babies. I have made my own balanced raw food for my cats that have digestive and skin issues. My cats’ litters are cleaned daily and provide adequate clean water to make sure they have no urinating issues. I can provide minor first aid for any mishaps that can occur when an owner is away and the cats(dogs) will play. I’ve worked with different dog breeds but focus on medium, large and extra large dogs. My last dog was an 11yr old female Saint Bernard/Pyrenees. She was lacking socializing when younger as I rescued her when she was three. She had been reactive (fear) especially since she lost her protector and lifelong companion, a 163 lbs Saint Bernard. I introduced her to new dogs slowly and with the owner’s permission and alway present. But she got better at introduction everyday and I tried to make sure she got a chance to socialize for canine enrichment. I did all of her personal grooming including trimming her nails as she had very long quicks and unfortunately too many just assumed where it was and ended up cutting her making her very paw sensitive. I’ve built her trust in me to know I would never ever put her in harm’s way. I have been taking care of neighbors’ and friends’ pets since I was younger but really have blossomed the last several years with concentrating my full time on pet care and especially training.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m very cautious with all fur babies. I learn to earn their trust before pushing myself on your pets. I let them come to me on their terms. I’m also constantly supervising your pet and surroundings during the booked time and only on my phone to take pics or videos that are required from Rover. I’ve studied lists of toxic plants and animals to make sure to know what to avoid. I also train if wanted by client or if it more enjoyable for the dog for retractable leashes. With my dog bookings, come pawsitive (no fear method) basic obedience training to make sure they understand what is expected of them out and about as well as in the house to make sure to not get hurt like bolting into traffic, out the door or after another animal. On walks, I focus on leash manners to make sure your dog is enjoyable for you to walk them. Finally, I’m an experienced cat body language speaker to relieve any anxiety your kitty might have with strangers. My quiet, meek, submissive body language wins the trust of most all weary kitties. I’ll first do all chores, feeding, watering and cleaning litters then sit down and make sure your cats get as much attention as they want or until I run out of time to move to the next appointment.

Information Nikki B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any special needs for your animal. Any thing special they like or need or special needs that have to be done during the visit including allergies, sensitivities and medications.

A typical day

I love playing with them with their toys especially fetch and tug a war as well as bringing new and unique canine enrichment toys with me to keep their mind plenty stimulated. If they are not dogs that love toys then we do some nose work with treats or whatever the dog wants to do. I like to find the County local parks that aren’t dog parks just for more mental stimulus if we go for an outing during an extended stay. As well as village, town or city squares for more socializing and manner work while making it fun and happy for the pups For my kitty drop ins, I try to bring organic fresh or freshly dried cat nip that I grow. Also try to bring some new toys as well as giving them so much loving in all the right places. Don’t pet the belly!!! Lol with some it’s ok but have to tread carefully.

Availability

I officially started my business taking care of your pets in January 2022 right after Covid. I saw a need for pet care with all the adopted animals and people going back to work. I’m a full time pet care concierge. I have openings currently most all week and weekend availability. I’m also looking for more weekly bookings.
