There hasn't been a time in my life that I haven't had a dog around. I picked out my first puppy from a box outside of a Blockbuster when I was three years old. Rumor has it I wanted to name her french bread, but I settled for "Cookie" instead. It was her who gave me the ability to pin myself as a 'dog person.' Dogs give unconditional love, companionship and a sense of family in times that you don't have anyone else around... and giving them the same feeling back is so important to me. Any dog that comes into my home is treated like my own. Lots of walks, outside play, treats (if they're allowed), and of course being cozied up in a real human bed! :)
