Pet care experience
I have been on and off pet sitting through Rover since 2017. I did a lot of pet sitting throughout college, but took a break to get established in my job. I have experience with puppies or older dogs as well as kittens and cats!

I drove from Alabama to Roanoke for my brother's funeral and had to bring my dog. I had only one day to find a local pet sitter. Niki responded quickly that night; did a video chat, met my dog and picked up the key the next day; fed and walked my dog during the funeral and waited on stand-by in case I needed a 2nd drop in visit. Niki was sensitive to our sadness and chaos of the moment. She communicated well and followed every instruction. Thank you Niki for taking such good care of Jack during this difficult time for my family. ❤
Niki was able to help us with our dogs at the last minute and did a great job! They’re both big strong and crazy, but she did amazing with them :)
Niki was a life saver for my spoiled puppy this weekend. In short notice, Niki was able to do a meet n great on Friday with an overnight booking for Saturday, as we had unexpected issue with previously planned puppy care. She kept us up to date on how Pecos was doing, plus sent us lots of pictures. Felt relaxed knowing that our spoiled puppy was being taken care of by someone as caring as Niki. Niki and I have been lifelong friends. She is one of the most compassionate people that I have ever met. She is a hard worker and is very responsible. Niki has great skills in communicating clearly and effectively. She loves her dog Ryder and spends a great amount of time with him. She gives him lots of love and makes sure he lives an active lifestyle. I would recommended Niki to anyone that wants a fantastic sitter!

I am super respectful of your space. Since I do drop in visits and dog walking, I will hardly ever need to be in your home, unless I’m expected to by the owners! For clients interested in boarding at our home, we have a very large fenced in yard. The only requirement I have is for your dog to get along with our German Shepherd, Ryder. I’d be happy to meet ahead of time to see if your dog is compatible with ours! We would also recommend utilizing a crate if I need to leave the house to ensure your pup is safe and comfortable at all times!

I am not afraid of any dogs, however I would like to be aware of anything that your dog may not like or what makes them uncomfortable! Let me know how your pup likes to receive love — plenty of scratches and snuggles to go around! If there are any commands that your dog is familiar with, give me a heads up and we will try to continue with those to better facilitate your dog’s communication expectations and needs.
A typical day
Plenty of outside time, lots of space to play and get those zoomies out. Happy to accommodate doggie day care needs or just popping in for a walk in your neighborhood. I will provide as many updates as you’d like to make sure you’re comfortable with the care of your furry friend.

Starting mid-September, I will have a PRN/remote work job that is super flexible. I can pop in and out pretty much any time of the day for walk or drop ins. I will keep my calendar updated with any adjustments to be as transparent as possible!
