Pet care experience
I have been loving and caring for animals since a very young age. The first dog in my life was a retired sled dog named Kojak who belonged to the well-known polar explorer Will Steger. Then would come Luther the German Shepherd and Mabel the Pitbull. My grandma sure loved large dogs! I also have experience with smaller breeds, Mico the Shih Tzu, Ava a terrier mix rescued from New Orleans, Frida a pug mix, and Polly and Birdie (mix breed rescues), to name a few. Before our neighbors moved, we would frequently house their American Pit Bull. She is a strong one and needs special attention when walking! We sure do miss her company! Cats and dogs are so much more than pets, they are family! And I will make sure they are treated the best!

I had to pull my dog from a local playcare facility due to him getting attacked by other dogs. I was in a pinch and Nikki booked me last minute and was beyond sweet and helpful! I felt so comfortable leaving my boy with her, and she was kind enough to even take him to the dog park to help keep some sense of normalcy for him! Will definitely keep booking with her!
Amazing care for my dog. Updates if something happened (and just daily updates with pictures), let my dog be comfortable in their home, and allowing me as the owner to relax and have a care free weekend knowing I left my dog in such good hands.
Niki has been a tremendous help with our pitbull as a neighbor. She took amazing care of her several times, including a 10 day trip to Europe. Our pup was very well cared for and loved. She was always excited to stay with Niki. 10/10 recommend!

When your fur family member is here, they will always be the center of attention! Their whereabouts in the house will always be known as I do not like to keep them very far out of my sight. Cuddles on the couch are encouraged! We live in a single-level house with minimal access to the basement so they cannot go very far! My 11-year-old son adores animals of all kinds. My mom's Shih Tzu Mico has been bonded with him since the day he was born. His other grandparents have had 4 rescue dogs at one time, and he has 2 dogs and 1 cat that he helps care for at his dad's house. If your fur family member does not do well with kids of any age, please let me know, and I can confirm if he will be here during the time you need boarding. I do not have a fenced yard but there is space to run and play if they are well-trained. We have a big field nearby and frequent walks will be taken to ensure they get enough exercise throughout the day. If they love the dog park we can always do that! I also have experience with animals who are crate-trained as well as those who are not. I will respect any dietary restrictions and other house rules as communicated.

A typical day
When your fur family member is in my care I will ensure their needs are met by playing their favorite games, going on energizing walks/runs, and visiting the local dog parks. If there are any special places they like to go, we can take a field trip! Their happiness is my #1 goal!

Availability
I am currently in between jobs with a lot of time during the weekdays from 8 am-4 pm and evenings if needed. We do not have pets of our own so they will receive my full attention! Weekends are also possible with enough notice and short notice if my schedule allows. I can be flexible and willing to discuss any special needs or requests! I can also be available for in-person meet and greets before boarding!
