Pet care experience
*I’m extremely grateful to announce that I’m fully booked on housesits til August 2024! I always encourage checking back or messaging me because things are always changing but for the time being I will have all future housesit bookings paused until further notice <3* Fully vaccinated! Hello! I’m a student and a barista which makes me only a part-time sitter as I prefer and this is reflected in my rates. Please respect full-time sitters rates as they’re likely paying for housing they’re not getting to live in at the expense of their services to you, it’s a rough job constantly living out a bag with frequent commutes. As one would expect, I’m just an avid lover of animals and want to offer a relief to pet owners. If your pets are unable to be left alone for up to 8 hours I’m likely not the sitter for you but I wish you the best of luck! <3 I’ve always volunteered with local shelters and am trained in handling all kinds of behavior in animals (Predominantly specialized dog training) I’m extremely patient but firm in upholding any previous training the animal has learned and I have the energy and willingness to work with any animal! I’ve transferred from Chemical Engineering (Minor in materials and mechanical engineering) at NC State to finish my degree at UNCA where I originally started. Currently working through my junior year but I absolutely take time to be outside and I’m very willing to care for any animals! I live in Candler away from the city in a quiet and slow little town. Great for animals with sensory sensitivities.

Nicolette was great! She was super responsive and sent a bunch of pictures during her time with my pup. This was my first time using something like Rover to help with my pup and she made me feel very comfortable about having someone outside of my friends/family watch my dog. Will definitely be turning to her for help again!
Nicolette has been wonderful with Eva! Looking forward to many more walks!

Information Nicolette U. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know all about their diet and previous training! Anything that has to do with their triggers or previous owners/sitters, it’s very helpful in how I’ll approach interacting with them. For boarding requests I’ll also need a up-to-date clean proof of medical record and whether you’re comfortable having your animal around others and my senior (FIV+) cat!
A typical day
I love to spend time outside and will happily maintain and introduce puzzles, games and new toy experiences into their care. I have an entire apartment and car full of frisbees and toys and plenty of treats and I assure you I have the energy, trained patience and discipline to play with any beloved animal!

Availability
When I’m not housesitting I tend to spend the majority of my time on campus working, taking advantage of their spaces and resources but I have a little fur boy Boxcar (my senior grey cat) that I sorely adore spending slower days with. I love getting the opportunity to volunteer at local animal shelters or farms as well. My schedules pretty variable from semester to semester but I do everything in my power to update my calendar as accurately as possible. I’m open to sliding scale prices as well. As mentioned in my bio if your pets are unable to be left alone for up to 8 hours I’m likely not the sitter for you! <3
