Your dog can have two new buddies!

Pet care experience

Hello there - I am an owner of an elder 73 pound male Australian Shepherd who loves most other dogs and likes to have woofer friends around. If you board with us, this sweet guy will be your dog's pal. He does not usually like pitts or boxers, so I would have to refuse those breeds for boarding. He is a friend to small dogs, usually letting them be the alpha (he's an affable guy). We also have a younger dog who is half Aussie and half Great Pyrenees named Osha. She loves to play play play! Although our home does not have a fence, your dog would never be off-leash here. I have great respect for our pets and will treat your dog will all of the love and care that I give my own. I love to take dogs on walks that are all about them - no mobile phone distractions or thoughtless poop-leaving. I enjoy the company of any kind of dog and am happy to medicate your pet as your vet directs if needed while you are away, and would be happy to send you photos of your pet's adventures in my care.

Nicole was phenomenal - with me AND for the love and care she gave my dog. She was my first Rover experience, and a homerun! Flexible, communicative, welcoming, and reliable. She even sent me updates throughout the day with photos of my dog. He looked pretty comfortable and happy! Nicole went out of her way to meet me in a convenient location, which was such a big help. Thank you so much!

Summer camp is the best way to describe the fun and attention Nicole lavishes on her canine boarders. Our golden retriever recently enjoyed a four-day staycation with Nicole, who sent us amusing photos, videos and reports of their activities every day. From walks on the mesa overlooking the Rio Grande Gorge to "wooftop" stargazing, Allie was kept well entertained when she wasn't napping on Nicole's comfy sheepskin rugs. Nicole's Australian Shepherd is a sweetheart who graciously allowed Allie to commandeer his squeaky toys. We all couldn't have been happier with the quality of care provided by Nicole and are sure you will be too.

My dog was completely spoiled at Nicole’s. She replied to my inquiries in a timely manner and was very accommodating. She even came to our campsite and picked up our dog. She sent us pictures and updates. Would recommend!

Fleck does not like certain breeds, so I have to refuse boarding to most squishy-faced dogs; bulldogs and boxers specifically. (It's his preference, not mine, so I can't answer why it is - but he's disliked certain breeds as a whole from puppy hood.) Strangely, he doesn't mind Pugs or other such squishy-faced small dogs (Lhasas, ShiTzus). I also need to know if your dog barks uncontrollably - occasional barks to alert us to rabbits outside or coyote howls in the distance is cool, but constant barking isn't allowed in our house. We try to maintain a calm environment for all, including our neighbors. :)

A typical day

Fleck is getting to be an elder dog, so he is not able to hike with me as much as he used to. Happy to accommodate your woofer if your dog enjoys big walks (on leash) in the great outdoors or prefers short walks in a small area - the more that you can tell me about your pal's regular habits, preferences, and needs, the better I can anticipate the activities we can do together. If your dog likes to cozy up in one place or gets anxious with out people around, I am happy to pamper your pooch! I typically work from home, so another dog friend around is always wonderful. Lap dogs are welcome to snuggle while I work.
