🐾💚 About me: I’m a stay at home furmama. The greatest love I’ve ever felt has been with dogs. I was raised with dogs and come from a family of dog lovers and animal trainers. As an adult, I have approx. 20+ years of day to day dog care experience with my own dogs and caring for several friends and family dogs. 🐾💚 Why I choose to dog sit: The most stressful thing for me has always been who will care for my dogs when I take a vacation, who can I trust to leave my furbabies with, who will give them the attention, time, love, rubs, massages and pampering like I give them? It’s the most stressful thing I’ve had to do over the years and each time I’ve had to board at the pet hotel my blood pressure is through the roof. I was always stressed, anxious and couldn’t really enjoy my vacation because I couldn’t stop thinking about how my furbabies were doing while I was away. 1 week vacations always felt like an eternity so I’m extremely passionate about making sure I communicate as quickly as possible with fur parents, sending them photos and text messages and making the parent feel confident and at ease knowing their furbabies are safe and in excellent care with me. I will go above and beyond to make sure your furbaby feels safe and welcome into my home. If he/she becomes a little stressed because they’re missing their fur parent I promise to do everything possible to keep them peaceful with lots of attention, affection, hand feeding if they’re a finicky eater or to stressed to eat. I’m very proud to say I have a special bond and attachment with dogs and understand separation anxiety. For the time your fur baby is in my care I’ll treat him/her like my own family. 🐾💚 About my home & yard: My home is pet friendly, safe and secure, super clean, environmentally friendly, filtered water is provided, plenty of toys, My a/c is always on so my home is cool and comfy in the summer months and warm comfortable temperature in the winter months. My backyard is completely bricked all around with a locked security side gate. I have a covered patio area with dog cots for lounging underneath ceiling fans. If the weather is too extreme we relax inside where it’s cool and I make sure the dogs stay well hydrated, then play outside when the weather is more dog friendly. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and a bit OCD when it comes to cleanliness and keeping things off the floor that dogs might want to eat. Safety is always ALWAYS top priority to me and my furbabies. I’m constantly making sure there’s nothing on the ground the dogs can eat like bird poop, flowers, leaves or objects that randomly blow in your yard. All my outlet plugs are covered with child guards so the dogs don’t lick them and I don’t leave anything out within their reach, all cleaning products are stored away in cabinets way up high, doors are closed to spare rooms, the garage is off limits... safety safety safety is top priority in my home and the only way they can escape is if they grow wings and fly away or if they can jump a 6 foot wall. 🐾💚 Feeding: I will keep feeding time on your schedule to stay consistent and only feed what you provide. I serve filtered fresh water from my water system and make sure the dog bowls are always full and clean. If I see food particles in the water bowls I pour the water in my plants and refill with fresh clean water throughout the day. If your dog enjoys ice water I’ll be happy to add ice to their bowl. If your dog requires hand feeding I’ll be happy to hand feed so they’re not skipping meals. Sometimes separation anxiety may cause a dog to loose their desire to eat until they feel safe. It’s important to me to develop a trust with your furbaby so he/she will feel safe to dine. Anything to make them feel comfortable and stress free. 🐾💚 Walking: We have a local park to go walking which is dog friendly just outside our gated community, a beautiful well manicured and clean with lots of grass. I prefer only to walk your furbaby if he/she needs to burn off some energy and I will only walk locally if the pavement temperature is safe to walk. Gotta protect those tender paws but, rest assured knowing they’ll get plenty of backyard playtime chasing tennis balls and running through the water sprinkler and enjoying pup ice treats. 🐾💚 Sleepy Time: Dogs can sleep wherever they are comfortable. Feel free to bring their own bed or they can sleep on the sofas or the floor... wherever makes them happy to go night night. My goal is to make them feel relaxed and peaceful so if they need some rubs so they’ll rest better, my hands are free most of the time. Soft gentle spa like music or TV on a low volume also helps to relax. It’s important to me that after exercising the dogs feel relaxed and at peace to nap. My goal is to see a smiling dog, tongue hanging out, them laying on their back, tails wagging, cuddled up enjoying life. 🐾💚 In case of emergency: I have reliable transportation with dog seat belts to get to your Vet if required. 🐾💚 Why Rover: I decided to join Rover and provide dog sitting service to help other pet parents who worry about their furbabies during the day while they’re at work or school. I offer Over Night Boarding and Doggy Day Care at my home. I have only 1 dog of my own and I will only accept 1 client furbaby or if same family I’ll consider 2 furbabies at a time, so it’s not too overwhelming for my furbaby as well as our fur guest. If doggy day care works out we can definitely talk about over night boarding but, I always require doggy day care before accepting over night boarding. I always request we do a play date meet and greet prior to doggy day care as well to make sure it’s a good match and that our pups feel safe playing together. If the play date goes well we can discuss future doggy day care bookings. 🐾💚 Thank you in advance for giving me an opportunity to spoil your furbaby. I literally rarely leave my house without my dog so I can make sure they never feel left alone. My little Winston and I are like 2 peas in a pod and I’ll embrace your furbaby like my own.
