I was with Nicole helping the animals and people out who were recently hit by the massive tornados in Oklahoma. While there she exhibited excellent organization skills, good communication skills with the people we were interacting with and excellent skills with all of the animals which we were interacting with. She has a special sense when it comes to scared animals which enables her to gain their trust. Even days after the storm these animals were terrified and in order to perform even the most basic functions such as feeding or walking you had to gain their trust. What comes to mind first was a young female mixed breed who was ready to whelp her pups and refused to move from the corner of her crate. Nicole was able to connect with her and get her to begin interacting with people and even take some food to help her keep her strength up. While this may sound simple it was far from a simple task which required a special person to accomplish.
