Pet care experience
As someone who moved out of state, I understand the worry to find a reliable sitter. I ensure pets are properly taken care of without forcing owners to pay extreme prices. I deliver the same responsive communication watching your pet as I do in my professional career. I aim to alleviate the stress of you being away from your fur child through detailed notes and responsive messages. I have my Rover notifications route to my watch to ensure expedited response times. I promise to give your dog lots of walks, pets, and love to make them feel safe while you're gone. For our kitty friends, I promise to give them mental stimulation with their favorite toys OR just leave them alone (you never know pending their mood). Dogs: I have a variety of experience with multiple breeds and sizes. I have my own energetic Australian Shepherd who I love unconditionally except when she steals my socks. We got her at 8 weeks and I’m happy to help any puppy parent working through potty/puppy training. My family has a Great Dane/German Shepherd (aka a 112lbs lap dog) that I adore. I have watched golden retrievers, poodles, Saint Berdoodle (Saint Bernard/poodle), chihuahuas, chow-chow, labs, dachshund, boxers, Newfies, huskies, and plenty of mixed breeds in between :) Cats: You’ll see mine & my sisters cat, Clybourne, in my pictures. We have had him for about a year and rescued him as a 2 lbs kitten. No cup is safe near a counter ledge and he loves ear scratches on his terms. I have done visits for various cats and have some pictures uploaded as well, including tabby, calico, tuxedo, and my best friends chonky Maine coon.

Highly impressed with Nicole! I love the communication, thoughtfulness, patience with my dog and professionalism. Nicole understood my dog was a timid recue dog that needed sometime to warm up to her and did not rush my dog at all. Nicole was kind, got down to her level, gave her treats, pets and made my dog comfortable to eat and go potty. She will be my new Rover, always!
Nicole was a phenomenal! She was my first experience with Rover. I was a bit hesitant to let someone I don’t know care for my pup. But after our meet and greet, I knew Nicole would be a great choice! She did not disappoint. She took great pics and gave me a great summary of the visit! So thankful for her flexibility and willingness to care for my baby. 10/10 definitely recommend!
Nicole took such great care of our cat while we were gone for the week! I love that she sent lots of pictures for us to be able to see him while we were gone. She was very punctual with our scheduled times and made sure to check in if any issues came up. I will definitely be contacting her next time we go on vacation to take care of my pet again!
Nicole is everything you would want in a dog sitter. She is kind, obviously loves dogs, and is committed to providing the best care. She and her dog Ellie are very friendly and played with my dog Ellie like they had been friends for years. She's very communicative and takes the best dog pictures. 10/10 would recommend

While dropping in/walking your dog, it’s important to use the time effectively. I try to find the dogs “comfortable spot” they have for going to the bathroom so we can stop there a couple times. Depending what you want for the dog, I am happy to accommodate. Walk for 30 minutes, fetch for 30 minutes, walk for 15 minutes and fetch for 15? You tell me and I’ll make it happen! **If your drop in appointment is after 5 I’m also happy to run with your dog too :) just let me know prior and I’ll make sure to get ready to run. Not all dogs joints and stamina are prepared for that so I’ll assume walk unless otherwise indicated. I also have a habit of taking great pictures (including portrait mode, of course) that I will happily post on the app so you know they are in good hands!
Information Nicole S. would like to know about your pet
To make sure I am meeting your expectations, I need to know exactly what you expect when I’m there- if your instructions aren’t detailed I’ll ask you for more info. Other additional questions: How trained are they and what are their hand/verbal commands? How are they around new people and other dogs? Do you want me to cross the street when approaching another dog, or let them play? Do they have any allergies? How many treats would you prefer I gave them on a walk?
A typical day
At this time I’m only doing drop ins and walks so I would not have a full day of dog sitting- however I will use this space to mention that if you’d like to book a longer service for the weekend I’m happy to book longer services and take your pup for a hike :)

Getting out with your pet is a good break in my work day. I’m a manager at my company and can typically move my calendar around to meet their needs. I do Rover for 3 main reasons: I love spending time with animals, it allows me to get out of the house, and most importantly I believe owners shouldn’t be concerned or extremely financially impacted when having another person care for their pet. I’ve been pet sitting for years and decided to download Rover a few years ago to help out of state fur parents- it’s more a hobby for me than anything else.
