Pet care experience
I have had pets constantly since the age of 5 and have a deep love of all animals. I grew up with rescue cats and now have a rescue cattle dog of my own who demands a lot of attention and exercise. I have spent many hours training him both personally and with professional dog trainers and so have learned a lot about dog behavior and needs because of that.

Nicole was super attentive to our high energy dog's needs and idiosyncracies. She sent photos every day and it was obvious he was having a great time. We would ask her to sit again in a heartbeat.
Our dog loved her time with Nicole & her dog Ocean! Nicole has a wonderful gentle spirit that puts humans & pets at ease, so when I left I knew our girl would be in great hands. Nicole updated us with info & pics throughout the stay, so we were able to enjoy our time away. HIGHLY recommend & will rebook next time we come to Ojai.
Ahhhh!! Nicole is the jam with the animals of all kinds! She has taken care of my 2 cats, 11 & 13 years of age for the past 4 years on and off while I am away. I always know they will be loved up and cared for plus a little extra TLC. Thats just how Nicole is! She can't help it!!

I have a nice sized fenced backyard for your dogs to run/play if they want. Your dogs safety and comfort is of utmost importance to me. They have a clean cozy house to stay cool in during the hot days and we take backyard breaks whenever needed throughout the day while Im working.

I only take dogs who are well trained and able to respond to basic commands - sit, come, stay, leave it. Your dog must be either good with on leash NO-PULL walking or be able to be off leash and have EXCELLENT RECALL. Let me know if your pup has any special needs, likes, dislikes/fears, allergies to foods, or habits that I should know about so I can make them as comfortable and happy as possible. I want them to feel totally at ease while staying with me.
A typical day
We start the day off with a nice early morning hike (before it gets too hot) , and then will finish the day with another walk if it feels like the dogs want/need it. I also like to take the dogs on adventures to the beach or park where they can really run/play and enjoy the outdoors.

I currently work from home so am home all the time. We can do play and potty breaks whenever your dog is showing signs that they want some focused attention.
