I walk my cat in a stroller!

Pet care experience

I have cared for many cats and dogs over the past few decades and feel truly blessed to continue to provide care for such loving creatures. I worked as the lead Pet Care associate (at a popular pet store chain) for a number of years. I have assisted a local animal rescue group bottle feeding orphan kittens and caring for newborn kittens and their mothers. As a child, I owned two Shelties and was always helping friends and neighbors by house sitting, walking, and feeding their dogs of all sizes and ages. My experience with the rescue group as well as with my own animals has made me very experienced at giving medications (liquid and pill form) to both cats and dogs. I own a Litter Robot 3 automatic litter box and am very experienced at both maintenance and troubleshooting errors. I currently serve as the “chief of staff” to four cats of my own, the oldest is 16. I take one of my cats on walks in a stroller upon his request!

Nicole was excellent with our dog Bailey. She went well out of her way to make sure Bailey was comfortable with her and cared for her as a true dog liver. Nicole was responsible, professional and dependable and we will definitely use her again when we are in need of pet sitting.

Nicole is GREAT! She came on literally almost with no notice!! Her communication and hardwork shines! She cared for my dog so wonderful! It's so nice knowing my dog is in good hands when she is there and I don't need to worry about it. I was hospitalized so this was just drop in care due to my medical issue and Nicole worked us in so easily. I am gonna refer her to all my pet parents I know! Thank you Nicole for your hardwork and I am sorry for the late notice but thank you again for helping out during my time of need!!

Safety, trust & environment

Since I have four cats of my own, I can only offer drop in visits to your home at this time. I will make sure to respect your home as if it was my own while I care for your pets.

Information Nicole S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pets have any special needs or prefer things done in a certain way! The more information you can give me about them and what they love, the happier all of us will be! Please feel free to leave me handwritten notes or contact me via the Rover app if you think of anything you want to tell me.

A typical day

In addition to feeding and litter box scooping or potty breaks, I offer playtime and cuddle time to all pets under my care on their terms. If they only want to play, I won’t force a cuddle! I love to play fetch and tug-of-war with dogs and use the feather teaser wand toys with cats. I also offer dog walking services for longer walks (see more details below) and am comfortable walking cats in strollers or on a harness (only if trained). Drop-in appointments vs. Dog Walking For Dogs, a drop-in visit is typically NOT a full walk around your neighborhood! During a drop-in I will feed, give meds (as needed), give fresh water, play with or cuddle and take pets in the yard or nearby area to potty and play games WITHOUT taking more than a 5-10 minute walk. If 5 to 10 minutes is all that is required for your pups walk, please book a drop-in. However, if you need 30 minutes (or longer) for your pups walk, please book a Dog walk rather than a drop-in appointment. These are a regular 1 mile walk (30 min) or 2 mile walk (1hr) around your neighborhood where we are walking (or training for puppies) THE ENTIRE time. If requested, I can also feed and check water at the beginning or end of the walk. Please ask if you have questions on which booking is right for you and your pet.
