Dependable & will treat as my own!

Pet care experience

I have been a pet lover my whole life. As an adult, I had adopted my first cats at 22 and when my husband and I bought our first house with a yard, we finally adopted our first dog. I am currently the proud fur mom of 2 dogs and 3 cats. I have a lot of experience with taking care of senior pets, both cat and dog, with administering medication as well as accommodating poor mobility. I have experience in administering oral medication to both dogs and cats. I am also comfortable with administering subcutaneous fluids. In addition, I have experience with young pets, as my two current dogs were adopted at 4 and 6 months (they are 9 1/2 and almost 3 now). I am comfortable with walking dogs of all sizes as my current dogs are 100 pounds and 45 pounds, as well as a current client's pup I am walking is only 7 pounds. I have attended basic, obedience and a stress-less dog training classes over the years with my dogs, and am familiar with training techniques and how to read a dog's body language. I am happy to be available to just let your dog out for a potty break or take them for a long walk. If your dog is dog friendly, I can bring them to the dog park to get some Zoomies out of their system! If your pup just needs some company during the day I am very skilled at snuggles and belly rubs as well! I am a huge cat lover as well, and have a lot of experience with kittens as well as older, very sick kitties. I am available to check on cats in the afternoons while you're at work or to check in and keep them company with fresh water and food if you are away. Your pet will be well supervised and well taken care of when in my care.

Nicole, thank you for being so wonderful to our dogs.

Nicole has assisted in watching our dog (Laura) while we were away. She came to meet Laura and learn the routine and after seeing them interact I knew Laura would be in good hands. Nicole let herself in and out a couple times a day and fed, and walked Laura without any issues. I would and do recommend Nicole to watch your Fur-baby next time your away!

I would prefer to meet pets with their owners, so as to ensure as comfortable as a transition as possible, but am open to not meeting first to meet your last minute needs as long as your pet is fine with a stranger coming into their home. When we meet, I will want to get to know your dog's routine, and what they are used to and not comfortable with. I would want to make an easy as possible transition for your pet to spending time with me when you are not there. Please let me know of any behavior issues or leash reactivity so I can be prepared to work with your dog at their comfort level. I'm happy to accommodate and keep your dog away from situations that can be stressful or induce reactivity. Please also let me know if your dog or cat is on any medications or has any allergies. At this time I am not offering any care in my own home, but can come to your house for walks or check ins/drops ins.

After working in health care for 20 years, I changed things up last year to find a better balance in my life. Part of that balance included being home more to be with my fur babies, and would love to help yours out as well! I currently have one private client for dog walking and am available Thursdays through Sundays for dog walks. Any day except Monday I am available for drop ins for dogs or cats for potty breaks/snuggle time.
