As a "pit mama", I know all about silly dogs that some don't understand. I work with my pitbull, letting her know that somethings are not okay but still remain independent. Often, I find that approaching a dog like a child works better than trying approach them as if I am superior. Doggos and all other animals for that matter should be treated with respect since we are all living creatures on the same planet! This may be only pet sitting for you, but for your fur-babies it is companionship. I am fairly easy going when it comes to discipline. There is no yelling involved just a stern "no" followed by a command. With my pittie she has a cage she only goes in when she is in trouble and often will put herself in there when she has been bad. I've trained her myself with little knowledge prior. Since I am learning everything in my own, she is not completely trained but she is well behaved for a dog that has the odds stacked against her. I may not be deemed as a "professional" or an "expert", but my love and passion for animals is more than enough to care for your little or big fur-babies!
