Pet care experience
Hi! I’ve have experience caring for my friends and families dogs when they vacation. For a while my sister relied on me to watch over her dogs while she kept up with a busy schedule. My family has a small dog rescue where we host up to five dogs at a time. I do a lot of volunteering at the our little shelter. Currently all dogs have been adopted (this is our third set of 5 that have been adopted… after each 5, we take about a 1-2 month break). Moreover, I have attended a Dog Shelter/boarding Seminar. I learned a lot about dog personality and how to manage/work with them. I am also part owner of a family business with a very flexible schedule. I mostly work from home but even if I need to run to office your pup is always welcomed to swing by with me. I live right across the street from a big park. I can feed, bathe, spend quality play time, or do long/short distance walks. If needed I can board. I also have connections to three other dogs who are always up for play dates if your pup need social time (:

Nicole P, is not only a wonderful person, but she is a real animal lover! She has watched my 17 year old dog and two cats on many occasions, sometimes for days at time. She takes excellent care of my three babies , and really focuses on making sure that they are not only taken care of but happy and enjoying life :) She is very much a nurturer and likes to make sure they get lots of attention, and play time ( my dog can’t exercise much as she is older) . I trust her and couldn't recommend her high enough!

I live in home with two other dogs, but whenever I take care of a dog who does better solo… we stay at my boyfriends place. I do have a crate/extra dog stuff (toys, bowls, treats (if allowed), etc). Dogs are allowed to roam free in the apartment and will be taken out as needed… or if they are on a strict schedule. As far as safety, I would appreciate a document of some sort with a list of any medications, allergies or diet restrictions. In case of emergency, along with preferred emergency pet clinic/their primary veterinarian.

A typical day
I love allowing the dogs to take their time and sniff around when they go out. I never rush them. I can play catch, jog, or cuddle your pup. If they have experience and regularly go to a dog park without any hassle, I am more than happy to take them. I have a dog park almost right across the street from me (dog park @ Buffalo bayou). For long stays, If permission granted, for active dogs I can take them to the beach for walks or to any long trail.

During the week I am very flexible with my day. The weekends are definitely a time I like to relax and enjoy, but I wouldn’t mind hanging out with your pup either 😄
