Pet care experience
I have cared for my family's dog for the past three years. They entrusted me to care for the dog while they were at work or gone for extended weekends. Responsibilities included walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with the dog. I have also been relied upon for watching and walking my neighbor's dogs from a young age. I love dogs and am grateful for any time I take care of them!

I keep dogs on leash while in open areas without fences. I like to bring extra water, treats, and poop bags while going for walks or hikes! I would follow whichever guidelines the owners have for ensuring a positive experience with their dogs.

I would like to know if there are specific behaviors I should be on the lookout for with your dog. For example, is it normal for them to skip a meal when they are away from you? Other questions I ask include how they interact with other dogs, how they interact with other people, and what some of their favorite activities are! If dog-sitting, it will also be important to know scheduled feeding times and how often they need to go to the bathroom.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs engaged throughout the day. My favorite activity to do with dogs is hiking! While hiking, they get a lot of exercise while encountering many new smells. I love playing fetch or tug-of-war with my own dog to keep him occupied while in our house. I have also tried games with hidden treats as an option for mental engagement before.
