Quiet, loving companion!

Pet care experience

I've always had at least 1 dog from the time I was born until the day I moved out of my parents' home about 10 years ago. We had all ranges in size and breed from a small pekingese, mid-size mutts, and even a St. Bernard! My grandmother, who I spent a lot of time with while growing up, also had dogs and cats. In middle and high school my friend's family would always ask me to house and dog sit their border collie, Jack, every time they went on vacation. I was too busy working to have a pet for awhile, but now I find myself really missing having furry friends in my life.

Absolute life saver, took care of our puppy and old man little while I was at work. Communication and care is an A++. Thank you again.

Nicole is wonderful! She is very communicative and attentive to the needs of a dog. We appreciated the occasional updates (with photos) when we were away from our pup for the weekend. Our dog also enjoyed the rest of Nicole’s lovely family, especially the kids.

Safety, trust & environment

My yard is unfenced but in a quiet, secluded, suburban neighborhood that only gets traffic to residents (very little). There is plenty of room to run around (about an acre), but there are also nature trails (Albany Pinebush Preserve) a short walk from the house and some parks nearby (short drive). The neighborhood is a great walk for dogs that need less adventure or shorter mileage. For overnight or weekend stays, I have two well-behaved children to keep your fur baby occupied - one toddler and one 6-year-old that desperately wants a pet! I even have central air so your pet will stay comfortable in the hot months, but we like to play with the hose too ;). I like to tailor the care I give to each individual pet based on information the owner provides. If your pet loves fetch, so do I. If they love a long walk in the woods, I do too! Likewise, if you have an older pet that just loves cuddles, I say grab the cushion! I have two kids (one of which is a toddler), so I know how to closely watch your furry friend but also give them the space they want to just have fun.

Information Nicole N. would like to know about your pet

I like to have an idea of the pup's normal schedule and personality. Also let me know your dog's favorite things and preferences: activities/games, toys, do they prefer to relax, do they like cuddles, do they prefer walks or fetch, etc. This information lets me tailor the care specifically to your BFF (Best Fur Friend). Does your doggo have special needs or medications? If yes, what are they and how do you normally handle it?

A typical day

I love going on walks, playing fetch, and cuddling! My neighborhood is excellent for dog walking, but for dogs that need a longer walk or like more adventure in the woods, there are hiking trails (Albany Pine Bush Preserve) less than 1 mile from my house. If there are any special games you like to play with your dog, just let me know. I am very flexible in the care I provide and want to make the pup feel at home!

I have a part-time job where I am home alone on some days wishing I had some dog friends to keep me company and get me moving about! On days I don't work, I have from about 9 am to 4:30 pm to give my attention solely to your pup. In the mornings before 9 am I get my two kids off to school and daycare. In the evenings/nights my husband and two kids are home with me to help keep your pup happy.
