From the time I was little, I have always been a dog/animal person who constantly pleaded with my parents to adopt. When I was in fifth grade, I convinced my family to stop at a pet adoption, and we fell in love with our first puppy. My parents adopted her upon my promise help care for her, which I absolutely loved being a part of. When I was in high school, we fostered a mom and her two puppies for a period of time. Having four dogs in the home was a lot of work but I loved the experience and providing the love and care they needed. As my first dog grew older, I helped to provide the additional care she needed. As heartbreaking as this time was, I was so grateful she was part of our family and I was able to love her for the years she was with us. All of the dogs in my life have made an incredible impact on me. My love for dogs has only grown and I would love the opportunity to care for other dogs in my area!
