Pet care experience
I have 7 years animal handling experience, developing my animal husbandry skills and knowledge full time in a busy and demanding environment. Before this, I had spent most of my childhood and preteen years taking care of the horses I rode as a well loved hobby. I received my certificate for Animal Care and am currently starting a program to become a Veterinary Technician. I care deeply for the health and happiness of all animals and want to continue using my skills in more aspects of animal care. I am able to care for cats and dogs; as well as smaller species pets, such as guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds.
Reviews
Nicole takes amazing care of our senior large breed dog. She gives her so much love and attention. We just got back from a week-long vacation and Daisy looks as well rested as us! I think she enjoys Nicole's company even more than ours sometimes! Highly recommend you book Nicole.
Nicole was great : She has made several visits to my house . I have 4 Standard Poodles and, I feel 100% comfortable leaving my 4 in her care : She sends updates, pictures with each visit. She truly loves dogs: Thanks Nicole
Our dog Isla is a nervous rescue dog with severe seperation anxiety, we have never left her with anyone outside of our family. Nicole's responsiveness prior to meeting her, along with our quick debrief in person right before departing, made us feel confident and comfortable with leaving Isla in her care. It was clear she loves dogs and spent time engaging with and playing with Isla. We appreciated all of the updates and photos! We will definitely be booking with Nicole again :)
Nicole was wonderful with our dogs. She looked after them for an evening at our house. We got frequent updates and they looked like they were having a blast with her. I left out instructions for their care which she happily followed. I would definitely ask her to watch our dogs again!

Safety, trust & environment
Maintaining a clean environment is important as well as providing a crate if needed (if they are normally crated at any point) to keep with individual routines. I'm not currently running boarding services in my home yet until I settle plans on moving. In a client's home, knowing your pets normal routine is extremely important in order to keep them happy and healthy. Providing any extra information on how you operate your own home for your pet (are they allowed on furniture etc.) will be the first step.
Information Nicole M. would like to know about your pet
Again let me know of any behaviors to watch for, as well as allergies and medications that might not already be on Rover, beforehand, so the visit is set up for success. I am more than willing to work around your pets individual needs.
A typical day
I am able to provide your pet with the same routine they are used to, whether it is structured or not. Throughout the day, I take them for walks as potty breaks every 2-3 hours, and/or if the weather plays nice, I take them to a trail or park for some more mental and physical stimulation. There are a couple trails and parks around my area, as well as the guelph and mississauga/brampton areas that I know of where they have an opportunity to socialize with other dogs, or go for a relaxing hike with just your dog and I. I will also choose to bring my dog along for walks (as long as your pet is dog friendly of course) when he's up for it since he is an older boy and doesn't always have the energy. I will also throw in some EXTRAS at the end of each boarding stay, such as a POLAROID PICTURE of your pet and PERSONALIZED NOTES on how they did!
Services
Nicole can watch in your home
Availability
Although some dogs are able to be alone for longer hours (sometimes part of their routines), for the safety of the pets I watch, I will not leave time frames of longer than 4 hours between bathroom breaks and having someone in the home if I have active responsibilities during my time with your pet. I am more than happy to work around my personal schedule to make sure your pets are happy and healthy! 🌟 Note: When booking; I have Drop-in visits only for multiple drop ins in a singular day, or for drop ins longer than an hour. I have Walks only for a one time visit in a singular day. For full day drop ins, please book an overnight stay for one night and just set the time frame you need within that one day.
