Pet care experience
Coming from a family that loves animals, especially dogs, I have had many years of personal and professional experience taking care of all kinds of dogs ranging from newborn to senior citizen. I currently only have one rescue terrier mix living at home, as my other "sister" passed away a few months ago living an amazing 17.5 years. My professional experience comes from my volunteer work with a nonprofit organization in Southern California, where pregnant mama dogs were taken from high kill shelters and administered to different homes to give birth. My mother and I would foster the mama dog as well as the litter of 5-8 pups for a minimum of 8 weeks, until they had their shots and were ultimately ready for adoption. This was a time consuming commitment yet very eye-opening and something we both greatly enjoyed. The idea of saving lives while getting to train and take care of cute little pups was something we could not pass up! Over the course of many years, my mother and I fostered about 7 different litters, with many ups and downs a long the way. One litter had Parvo which required our extra care giving different medications and shots to them, while another resulted in one pup not getting adopted, so she was the family Christmas present :)
Reviews
We were so lucky to find Nicole! We had not used the Rover app in a while, but found ourselves in a pinch over a recent holiday weekend to which Nicole was our lifesaver. We had a brief meet-and-greet prior to booking, and knew immediately Nicole would be an incredible caretaker of our dog. While we were away, Nicole sent tons of videos and photos – just like any dog parent would hope for! She also asked thoughtful questions about our doggo's care, which we really appreciated. Will certainly use Nicole again!
Nicole took great care of my pup, Marley! I really appreciated her clear communication, flexibility with pick ups and drop offs, and the pics she sent while I was away. Ill definitely use her again and I know Marley will be happy about that :)
Nicole did an amazing job with not only watching my dog but also helping me out last minute as my other sitter cancelled on me the night before my trip. She gave me multiple updates through my trip of adaline and asked great questions to make sure adaline got the care she needed while I was away. I will for sure be booking Nicole again in the future!
Nicole took great care of our 16 year old border collie and our frog. She administered all the medications that our dog needed. She is responsible and conscientious. Nicole was excellent at communicating and we could rely on her to respond quickly when we contacted her. She spent a lot of time at our meet and greet to get to know our dog and his routines. Nicole also took good care of our home and watered our plants when we were gone. We would highly recommend Nicole as a petsitter.and we would love to have her pet/house sit for us again!

I live in an apartment so if your dog is okay with that, my services will work! But due to that, I cannot board very large dogs. Based on both the owners comfort level as well as mine, I can come to the house the dog is living in for sitting services, so that he/she feels more comfortable in their own home. However, if the dog is crate trained, coming to my apartment could also be an option. In addition, I was a competitive soccer player my whole life so I enjoy running. If your dog prefers a long run to the park over a walk, I would be more than happy to do that as well! I have a roommate who would also provide the dog extra love :)

Information Nicole L. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know the eating schedule and portion size of food for the dog, temperament of the dog, if he/she likes to be picked up (size dependent), if the pup gets along with others, if he/she tends to bark a lot, where he/she sleeps, if the pup is allowed on the furniture, if the dog is allowed inside at all times or is more of an outside dog. In addition, is there something I should be aware of or keep an eye out for? Does the pet have any allergies? How often should the dog be taken out if there is no doggy door (or how long can the pet be left alone? Do you reward good behavior with something and discipline in a specific way? Lastly, does the dog get scared of something in particular or have any weird tendencies I should be aware of?
A typical day
There are so many good parks around Denver, that good sniffs will not be an issue. I can run the dog if need be or throw tennis balls endlessly. Tug of war is always a good one to tire out a pup as well. I’m sure you have your furry child’s favorite toy and I would love to use it. However, long walks with lots of stops is another great alternative!

I am currently a graduate student at DU and have classes 2 times per a week, while working the other three. I can stop in at lunch hour for midday walk, but do work 9-4 on Fridays and 12-6 on Thursdays. I am free most evenings and sporadic times throughout the day, which is why I only take on boarding where the pup can stay home 5-6 hours. I can work on the weekends as well, but depending on the timing, my availability may differ. I am flexible when it comes to a set schedule or a one time thing, just depends on your needs and if it can work with my schedule too. I am also able to do pet sitting if you have a vacation coming up or just need someone to come to your house to walk, feed, or play with your pups. As long as it doesn't interfere with class I can work around you! I moved out here from Southern CA and am greatly missing my pup, so if you want someone to love your dog like their own, I am the one for you!
