I am currently a part time KU Biology - Pre Veterinary student and have experience as a veterinary assistant, kennal assistant, and as a volunteer at the Lawrence Humane Society assisting in behavioral work as well as basic grooming. I was inspired by my vet tech mother who fed my curiosity for veterinary health care growing up, to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She taught me everthing I wanted/needed to know about veterinary medicine from training to first aid. This experience was key to obtaining my first veterinary hospital job. Essentially, from the time I was a child until now, I've been learning and preparing for the day animal health care would be my career. My heavy interest in animal health care and experience caring for companion animals in varying environments make me uniquely qualified to take on the responsibility of caring for pets in the comfort of their own home!
