I currently am a registered volunteer at the Wisconsin Humane Society and have gone through dog handling training. I had three wonderful dogs growing up that I was primarily responsible to take care of and I also adopted my own little guy seven years ago. He was a long-haired dachshund named Walter who recently passed from an autoimmune disease. I have extensive experience administering medication and caring for a dog with special needs. I trained him and raised him from a puppy, and he was such a great part of my life. I’m not ready to adopt again, but miss having a dog around which is why I thought doing this again would be a good idea. I am very comfortable with any kind of dog; young or old, big or small. I have always been a huge dog lover and I hope to eventually open a dog rescue shelter. You can rest assured your dog will be getting the attention and care that he/she needs while you’re away! :)
