First - my dog is my life! :) he is my best friend and I wouldn't have it any other way! LOCATION I'm 2 blocks from Central Park/Columbus Circle and 3 blocks from Riverside Park South. I'm also 3 blocks from a 24-Hr emergency Vet, and 1 block from a regular day-time Vet. DOG SITTING During the stay, your dog can expect 4 walks a day - morning, afternoon, evening and a quick stroll before bed. The afternoon walk is usually a long one - playing in the park or a walking along the river. (Our favorite spot!) When dog sitting, I do not leave them alone for long periods of time. Most of my social activities are close to home. Due to my small apartment, I prefer to only dog sit one dog at a time, but special circumstances come up. If I have a request I will okay this with both dog owners. MY DOG SIMON BATES My dog is my BFF. He is a 12 year old 13 lb terrier mix (Jack Russell/Schnauzer) and is my baby! He adores people and other dogs. He is calm and has a sweet nature and can run faster than any dog I've ever seen. He is neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations. PREFERRED I LOVE all dogs but I have a small apartment so prefer small dogs (under 20 lbs) & potty trained dogs (I have lots of rugs!). Also, if you're dog is very reactive to noise, may not be the best fit because I live right across from the elevator. If you have any questions feel free to ask! About this sitter: I truly love dogs & I think they can sense that I will keep them safe & happy until their owner returns. I'm an I.T. Project Manager, but was recently layed off, so I'm home full-time at the moment. I am very loving, gentle and your dog is sure to warm up to me quickly. I used to be a volunteer for NYPAWS, and have excellent references should you request them. If I'm not available for dates requested, I do have an excellent & trusted recommendation for your dog. I have a roommate (also named Simon) who is rarely home but also loves dogs! Meet my pets Simon is a loving 10 year old schnauzer/jack russell mix. He is 13 lbs and is very playful, happy and curious. He loves all dogs and is good with both young, energetic and slower older dogs too.
