If you're looking for your dog to have their own vacation, send them over to my house! I offer activities, love and attention, play time, toys, treats, and a home environment where they are treated as part of the family - we treat our dogs like our children! ACTIVITIES For dogs that want to participate in activities, we go on lots of walks, hikes (when available), and visits to different parks. Every day I like dogs to have a minimum 1 hour of off-leash outdoor play time at a fenced park or at my folks' house. For dogs that do not want to participate in these activities, they are welcome to stay cozy at home, where there is generally another family member staying with them. Each dog gets one-on-one time with me, and are part of the family while they’re here! SAFE SPACE I want to ensure my home environment remains a safe space for all of my dog guests, our dogs and cats, and my family. Your dog will not be subject to any aggressive dogs, as I have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. In addition, mild mannered dogs are not subject to playful dogs always in their face. When this occurs I fence off half of the house (it is very open, and I can see everything happening from either side), and spend time on each half of the fence. (Fence - not kennel!) Play time is also monitored to ensure no one gets hurt. POSITIVITY I think dogs behave like small children and can be very sensitive. Therefore I focus on positive training, and avoiding misbehaving triggers. I often talk to the dogs, and always keep a positive voice and demeanor. I feel that yelling and aggression towards dogs creates fear, and they will not be subject to that at my home. SPECIAL NEEDS-ACCOMMODATIONS I can cater to disabilities, help with training practices, uphold your household rules in my home, and follow specific instructions for feeding and medical needs. I regularly administer shots, and have experience with seizures, dry eye treatments, ear infections, would treatment, and rectal inserts. I am excellent with dogs suffering from anxiety. ABOUT ME I attended Park City High, graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Chinese, and have a MBA from Westminster College. I love hiking, and my summer goal is to hike every trail Park City offers. I also love mountain biking and water activities. OTHER NOTES For house sitting, Makawee (MOK-uh-wee) always comes with me.
