Hello, I am Nicole! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and I’ve always had an overwhelming love for dogs. I grew up with a Yellow Lab and a Husky, and now have a Yellow Lab and two German Shepherds of my own. I don’t have kids, so they are my entire world! We use Rover when we are out of town and absolutely love our dog sitter! I understand how stressful it is to leave your dog, so I am happy to do whatever I can to help you and your dog feel comfortable while you’re away. :) My aunt and uncle were dog breeders, so I grew up around all different types of dogs, ages, and sizes. I would help walk, feed, train, and play with the dogs/puppies at their dog farm. I also have watched many neighbors/family/friends dogs. I love going for walks and if you live in Ankeny you may have seen me walking around with my dogs! :) I love spending time with animals and I am very kind and loving. Having experience with a variety of different dogs - I understand that each dog has different personalities, temperaments, and needs. I will take the time to get to know and understand your dog and care for them like they are my own! I have knowledge and experience with medication administration/shots and different medical conditions. (My 13 y/o Lab has seizures/bad allergies, so I have a lot of experience giving medication to dogs.) I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time and with dogs of all ages - from puppies to elderly. Please let me know if your dog has any medical condition, allergies, special needs/quirks, is reactive, nervous, etc. so I can do to make your dog comfortable and safe while you’re away. I also love cats and would be happy to care for your cat too! :) I have experience caring for multiple cats, but just not as much as experience as I do with dogs. I am very organized person, so any instructions needed to care for your dog/cat and home are welcome! I would love to do a meet and greet before caring for your dog/cat, so that your pet is comfortable with me.
