I love animals more than people! ;)

Pet care experience

During the school year I'm a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to kids but during the summer when I'm off I like to fill my time with all the animals!!! I've been an animal lover since I was a baby. My grandparents lived on farm land when I was little so I grew up taking care of the barn cats, petting (and riding) the dogs, and visiting the neighbor's horses and cows. My first jobs were dog and cat sitting and my first paycheck job was as a dogwasher in a pet grooming salon! There I learned not only how to bathe and dry the dogs, but how to keep them calm. I have been a vegetarian (now vegan) for almost 10 years because I care about animals so much. I have looked after every size dog, administered medications, and watched up to 6 dogs (all one owner) at once! Rest assured, your canine family member and I will be as happy as clams in each other's company :)

I am so glad I found Nicole! I left my dog Milo with her for 13 hours on Saturday and he definitely had a great time! I don’t think he wanted to leave. Nicole’s home is cute and dog friendly, and her pup is really sweet! She sent me cute pictures throughout the day, and I could tell Milo was comfortable and content. I definitely recommend Nicole and will hire her again the next time I’m in town.

Nicole did an amazing job taking care of Rocco. He went on walks, played with Nicole's dog, and was well cared for and loved! Thanks Nicole... Rocco looks forward to his next visit!

Nicole is awesome! I have already booked her again. For Chase it is like a second home?

Information Nicole E. would like to know about your pet

I love ALL breeds, shapes, and sizes but currently live in a townhouse so dogs over 25 lbs. will probably be happier some where with a big yard to run! I need to know your dogs daily habits (feeding times, whether they are protective of food, bed/sleeping situation, potty details) as well as your dogs preferences such as sociability with other dogs and humans, and if they have any special needs (medications, fears etc). Last but not least, whatever rules they follow at home I will be happy to enforce in my home (we let our dog on the couch in certain spots but if you don't let yours, I won't either).

A typical day

We will take long walks in the morning and evening (NOT on blacktop, I test the ground with my hand for my pup) in the numerous grassy areas around our neighborhood, as well as lots of mini walks/potty breaks. Shamus, my boyfriend (in my profile pic) helps out sometimes too and is a big time softy for animals! My dog Lola loves that we only live 2.7 miles from the Chaparral dog park, so we can spend time there too as long as you and your dog are comfortable with that. After we've had a morning walk your dog can snuggle with me on the couch while I read a book. We'll also play lots of games (tug o' war is Lola's favorite.... fetch- not so much haha) between our walks and potty breaks. Peanut butter covered sweet potatoes are Lola's favorite treat so if your dog can have those, or brings their own, treat time is the best time! Your dog will not lack for attention or activity!
