Pet care experience
I’ve owned dogs my whole life. My family had a dog when I was growing up and I have owned several different breeds of my own over the years both large and small. I had 3 dogs at one time for about 10 years (Golden Retriever, Border Collie and Shihpoo) who went everywhere and did everything with us. My kids and I love dogs and after losing our little Shihpoo late last year we added another member to our family. We now have a lab x Shepard named Jade who just turned 1. Jade provides lots of entertainment and loves meeting and playing with new friends. I have experience with puppies through senior dogs and often care for other family members’ dogs. Every dog I have owned has lived a long and happy life (all of them lived to be at least 15) which speaks for itself in terms of the amount of love and care we provide to our four legged friends. We provide the same amount of love, affection and attention to your pet as we do our own. Your pet will be comfortable and made to feel like they are at home away from home. Lots of time outside in our fenced in yard, walks along the city paths, trips to the dog park (when applicable), maybe even a hike in the mountains (with pet parent approval). Lots of updates and photos will be provided to put your mind at ease allowing you to enjoy your time away.

Nicole was great from the moment we met. I was a bit uneasy, as this was the first time using Rover. Nicole was great with our Lab who can be quite needy. She sent updates and pictures throughout the boarding. I would highly recommend Nicole and know your pet is in very caring hands.

My pup sleeps in her crate each night but we can accommodate any type of sleeping arrangements. We have lots of dog toys and a fenced in yard. We live in a single detached home. Pets will be fed and watered as per any schedule provided and lots of exercise or relax time can be had. We allow our dog on the furnitures and are fine of yours like to hang out on the couch or sleep in a bed. We love snuggle time. I typically will not take more than 2 other dogs in for boarding or daycare at one time. Depending on your dog’s energy level I may only take 1 in addition to my own. I want to ensure that your pet gets the care and attention they need so will adjust accordingly. I am happy to set up a meet & greet so your pup can meet ours and ensure their personalities match and so you can meet me in person. If you like we dan even set up a daycare session as a trial run before boarding.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, dietary restrictions or behaviours I can account for. Our doggo is a little timid of larger dogs so unfortunately we are not able to host your larger friends (over 100 lbs) at this time. If your pet sleeps in a crate please bring the crate with you for their overnight stay. We do have a medium-large sized travel crate that we can use in a pinch or for the smaller breeds as well as a larger wire crate that my pup uses at night. Please let me know how your dog behaves on a leash and if you are ok with the use of humane training aids (martingale collar, harness, halti). We do have extra leashes and collars but if you can please bring your dog’s lead, collar and/or harness. Or any other leash training tools you might use with them. If they have a favourite bed to sleep on please bring that. We can provide beds of various sizes as well. Please bring enough food for your dog’s stay plus 1-2 additional meals just in case. Food can be provided at an additional charge.
A typical day
We love to have fun and will bring your friend along for the ride if they are up for it. We like exploring the off leash dog park by our house or the pathways along the Bow River and cool our paws with a quick dip. We also sometimes like to visit the fenced in off leash parks around us for some social time. Our pup is super friendly and also loves to play and explore so your pet will be in great company and well taken care of with lots of love and attention. A romp around the backyard is a available anytime of the day for a quick energy release. We also have lots of nature areas to explore on or off-leash.

Availability
I currently work from home and can offer overnight boarding during the week and on weekends. I can also offer daycare during the week. Your pet will be occupied, exercised and well cared for and make another doggo friend at the same time. My 2 kids and I like to get outdoors as much as possible and like to bring our dog along to join in the fun and get some exercise. Yours would be a welcomed addition. We are also ok to just relax at home for those less active. We love to visit the dog parks around us and walk along the River path or just around the neighbourhood. We often walk the neighbourhood or the river path a couple of times per day. The off-leash park within a 2 minute walk offers a nice place to walk through nature and if your pet is ok to be off-leash they can get lots of exercise running around and exploring the area. We also a have a fenced in yard where the dogs can have a lots of playtime and fresh air and wear off some energy when needed.
