I have been taking care of my neighbors dogs for about 15 years which has ranged from walking them, taking care of them over night and the occasional bath. I have had several cat sitting experiences as well. In addition, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes For the Blind for 6 years and assisted with their home socialization program for puppies as young as 6-8 weeks. This volunteer program involved bringing two-three young pups into my home for up to a week to begin socializing them with other people, introducing them to the outside world, and beginning their early training such as using the bathroom outside, sitting before they get picked up or eat. I have also cared for older dogs, as old as 14.
