24 hour custom care for your pet!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Nicole and and my husband Edward and I enjoy providing top-notch, in-home care for your pets! I attended UW-Madison's veterinary program, have interned at a local veterinary clinic/boarding kennel to gain practical experience, and I founded and ran a feral cat rescue for many years. While I was unable to finish Veterinary School, my love of animals has never changed. Even as a child growing up on a farmette, I loved caring for all of our animals. I also raised rabbits for 4-H and have handling awards throughout the state. Currently, I care for several rescue animals, and my proudest accomplishment is training a dog that was slated for euthanasia to become a certified service animal for a woman with severe arthritis and seizures. In addition, I have practical medical experience and have been veterinary-trained to test blood sugar, administer insulin, give IV fluids/medication, and perform subcutaneous/intravenous/Intramuscular injections using proper sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of your pet. I have interned at a local veterinary clinic/boarding kennel, trained a service dog, owned dogs my whole life, participated in dog rescue, and have pets of my own! And it's not just my experience that is offered to you and your pet - Edward and I are team players in the care of your pet, offering truly round-the-clock care! We are passionate about providing a truly home-away-from-home experience, so your pet is never left alone and forlorn...we are both committed to making sure your pet is as comfortable and happy as possible. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs my entire life! I love animals and grew up in rural Racine county on a farmette, where I did a significant portion of the animal care. I enrolled as a student at UW-Madison to start a career as a small animal veterinarian. I interned at a veterinary clinic in Oak Creek, and spent a significant amount of time working with the dogs that were boarded there. I have been fortunate to have known and loved several rescue dogs. Adopting unwanted animals has been a passion of mine my whole life. My experience administering medication I am very comfortable administering medication. I have an abundance of practical experience in that regard, from oral medications to injectables. I am also veterinary-trained to administer fluids if that is indicated.

Nicole was very responsive to me and very kind to my dog. She clearly spent a lot of time with my dog, and made him a member of her family. Her dog Emma was tolerant and patient. I plan to use Nicole again in the future.

Nicole was a neighbor of mine who I let watch my dog, Cody. He was an unwanted stray that I took in, and saw the good in him, so I kept him. When I had to go out of town one time, I couldnt get a kennel to watch him, because he had his shots, but not given by the vet, so I had no records. She allowed me to leave him with her, and her sweet dog, Emma. When I got home, less than a week later, he was so much better behaved, and I was stunned. She told me that she worked with animals, and trained Emma, her service dog, herself. Whenever I could, I would leave Cody with her, and her patience and thoroughness with him made him a way better dog. She was instrumental in him being who he is today. I can not think of a better person to have my dog with, other than Nicole.

Information Nicole B. would like to know about your pet

I would definitely want to know if the dog had any health concerns, special feeding/exercise needs, and any other concerns that the owner may have regarding the comfort and well-being of their pet. I am comfortable with administering medication, monitoring symptoms/behavior, and making sure each dog is cared for in the way the owner has specified. I also carefully document those items so you can have a hard copy to take home with you which details any treatment or issues they may have had.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog I love animals, so I do prefer to spend a lot of time with them - playing fetch, going for a nice walk, or just hanging out and scratching them behind the ears. I am located near several very nice parks and walkways, so there are an abundance of safe places to take your dog! In addition, my husband Edward is not just my best friend, but an enthusiastic business partner! Not only does your pet receive loving and high quality care from me, Ed is right there with me so your pet gets twice as much love and attention! Between the two of us, your pet will never spend time alone, languishing in a crate, or craving attention. We truly offer round-the-clock care so your dog or cat really gets the full "home-away-from-home" experience!
