Pet care experience
Although I do not currently have any pets, I frequently foster with the Iowa City Animal Shelter, caring for a kittens, cats, and dogs. Many of the kittens/cats I work with in foster care are sick and require daily medications. I'm not nervous about administering meds and can do so lovingly and without added distress to the animal. In my lifetime, I have been pet mama to 5 cats, and I frequently dog sit for family and friends for extended periods of time.

My pup had a great time with Nicole. It usually takes her time to warm up to people, but she loved Nicole from the moment she saw her! And I appreciated all the photos and updates I received throughout. I’ll definitely have Nicole watch my pup again!
Niki took such good care of our two geriatric chihuahuas while we were gone! She sent us pictures and updates regularly and was very patient with two difficult pups. Would definitely ask her to watch our girls again!
My dog loves Nicole! Whenever he sees her, he is greeted with love and pets. Choosing Nicole as a dog walker means your pup is guaranteed a walk with a caring person who will be just as excited to see your dog as your dog is to see her.
Niki takes such good care of pets - she even does special touches for them (extra toys, plays with them, makes TikTok compilation videos). Highly recommended!

In my home, kittens, cats, and dogs have ample access to water, food, litter boxes, and toys to play with. When I care for pets, all plants that might be toxic are moved to my home office which will remain shut for duration of the stay. I live in a 2 bedroom duplex on a quiet street with little traffic. I have a front and back yard with ample room for dogs to play and run around in; however, they are not fenced in spaces so dogs will stay with me on a leash. In my client's homes, I am careful to follow all directions laid out by the client and always aim to leave spaces "better than I found them." I also LOVE taking pictures and updating clients on their pets!
