Experienced Dog Lover

Pet care experience

I grew up around dogs my whole life, and after working a travel job for many years, I decided to settle down and adopt my two lovable rescue dogs. I've used Rover several times as a pet parent, but now that I've moved to Dallas and am between jobs, I thought it made sense to pay it back for a great service. I'll treat your dogs as if they were my own, with lots of cuddles, playtime, walks or whatever they require (just don't tell my dogs!). From my experience with my own pups, I'm well-versed in behavior adjustment training for fear and anxiety, leash aggression, avoidance techniques and basic first aid. I know everyone expects their dogs to be perfect angels who are comfortable in all situations, but every dog is different and I strive to try to understand dog behavior and personality differences as much as possible. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs at all life stages, from puppies to seniors. I'm ok with administering oral medication but have admittedly never had to give injections. Please don't hesitate to contact me about any special needs your dog has - there's not much that I'm uncomfortable with, but I'll be honest with you if something is beyond my limits. My main goal is communication and transparency, from request to interview through the end of the stay. I'm happy to provide text updates, photos, FaceTime, at whatever the frequency you'd like. I have my own car for parks, walks or emergency situations. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Nico absolutely loves dogs! He takes great care of his own dogs is a natural looking after other dogs giving them the same love and attention he gives his own babies. I have no worries leaving my dogs with Nico when out of town as I know they will be cared for and they are always happy to see him arrive.

I just need to know their personality, energy levels, any medical needs and where you'd prefer that we walk/not walk. My goal is to replicate the care and attention that you give your dogs, so any information you'd like to share about your parenting style is welcome.

A typical day

I'm happy to go on walks wherever you're comfortable, whether that's just around your neighborhood, along Turtle Creek and Katy Trail, or a larger park like White Rock. I'm well-versed in all of the necessary games, from fetch and tug to stimulating tricks.
