My whole life has been spent around cats and dogs. I've been lucky to be roommates with a variety from huskies to shih tzu, maine coon to american curl. I have lived with animals that need space and animals that require constant stimulus and I love them all. My most recent roommate spent a number of months in China and it was a joy to take care of her anti-social cat Frankie and her hyper-social dog Butch. I've also had many wonderful experiences with walking elderly neighbors' dogs and doing drop in visits for other neighbors' cats and dogs during work hours or while they were traveling. It's fun to be the person who stops in to give a belly rub, a potty break, food & water, give a walk around the park for a dog to sniff the usual trees, or a nice combing for a fluffy cat. Passing on little messages of love and care on behalf the owners is just a great mood lifter to any day for both me and the pet! There is no other way I'd like to spend my time then caring for animals and making sure they feel good about their day, loved, and respected.
