Pet care experience
I was walking neighbors' dogs ever since I can remember. Growing up my parents never wanted to have pets but this did not stop me from not saying hello to every dog we walked by. As I became older, I learned that talking only to the dog is rude and that a simple hello also cheers up the owner. Growing up in Switzerland, I spent most of my time with big dogs. When I lived in the arctic part of Norway, I spent many hours with a Japanese Spitz who wasn't keen on going out in the cold. Now living in NYC my new friend is Peanut, a chihuahua who loves to dance.

I could not have dreamt up a better or more caring pet sitter for my beloved cats. Nico made my cats feel safe and loved. My house looked amazing when I came home and best of all my cats were happy and calm because Nico had so thoughtfully cared for them. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Nico did a great job, he sent a rover card for every visit and was easy to keep in touch with. My pup can be a handful when meeting new people but it didn't deter Nico, and I could see over the course of his visits that he calmed down. I was glad for his help and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

A typical day
Playing with dogs brings me great joy. Growing up in a suburban neighborhood taught me the beauty of nature which I am still chasing after, here in NYC. Living in Hell's Kitchen turns Central Park into a ginormous backyard. The Hudson River is where we catch the sun on winter days or the warm sunsets in the summer. I would love to show your dog my favorite places in Midtown.

Availability
As an entrepreneur I am able to set my own schedule and work around other people's schedule. I currently volunteer as a chef 3 times a week at a soup kitchen early mornings, but am flexible the rest of the day to go for a walk or play with your dog. Even though I am a dog person, my wife loves cats and is excited to host them as well.
