A husky at heart

Pet care experience

I grew up in a house with five dogs and five cats, rabbits, and lizards, so taking care of animals has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. From a rural town in Pennsylvania, to cities across the state, I have cared for animals for friends, family members, and now Rovers as well. I believe every animal has individual needs and should be treated as such! I develop strong relationships with the animals I take care of, and if they're open to it, their owners as well. I enjoy a strong communication with the owner of the animal so as to find the best way I can continue the routine for your furry friends. I've taken care of 150lb weineriemers and 8 pound chihuahahas, so regardless o your pets size, I can handle them on a walk! My family has always valued well behaved pets, and as such we have attended numerous dog training classes that have helped me in keeping our precious friends happy and healthy. Having moved out to CO recently, I have no pets besides my plants currently. This means I have lots of affection to give to your animals, and can't wait to meet them!

Nico has an innate connection with creatures great and small: he is caring, energetic, and committed to their well-being. He has cared for various types of animals, from dogs to cats to reptiles, and has extensive experience managing households with multiple pets.

Nico is nothing but responsible, caring, enthusiastic, and most importantly, kind, patient and courteous. He's the perfect companion for any dog and would be more than happy going for a slow stroll with older dogs or mutually expelling endless energy with young or high energy dogs. When you meet nico, his warm, fun loving energy is undeniable and infectious (similar to many dogs!). Whether you are looking for someone to let your pup out for a quick afternoon bathroom break, go for a long walk, get some energy out playing at the park, or even dog sitting for an extended stay, I know that nico will do so with the upmost care, love, and courtesy to you, your pet and your home.

We hated to see Nico move away. He is one of those rare people that can walk into your house and your dogs treats him like a long lost friend. We had Nico House/Dog sit several times because we had total confidence in him and his abilities. Being a life long dog owner himself, he is well versed in handling any dog situation and his love of dogs really comes through. Our boys miss him.

Nico is an extraordinary person with amazing talent and natural love for caretaking pups! Nico frequently watched our puppy Dante and they forged a very strong bond. Having grown up with multiple dogs in his house hold, Nico has incredible instincts for dog training and understands the imperatives of safety when looking after animals. If we still lived in the, we'd hire him in a heartbeat!

Information Nico B. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences, but I would like to know the basic temperament of the dog. How they interact with other dogs is especially important for me to know, so I can know how much interaction the dog should have with other animals.

A typical day

Fetch, walks to the many parks in the Denver area, obedience training, agility course training (we have one in my building) trips to the dog park, and any other activities your dogs regularly enjoy!
