Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Nick and I’m a life-long dog owner (22 years) and serial animal shelter volunteer. For the first time in my life, I find myself living without a dog for the first time ever and I just miss daily doggy duties! Therefore, I can say it would be a genuine pleasure to care for your lil guys and gals! Ive been received various training courses as part of the work I do in shelters and am trained and experienced in in caring for all shapes, sizes and personalities! (Even the bashful ones!) So you can rest assured that your fur angels are in the best hands!
Reviews
Nick was great with our large and energetic 10 month old, 75lb bernedoodle. He provided lots of detailed updates and photos which I of course appreciated but most importantly took great care of our little fluffy man. I felt good leaving him in Nicks care and already plan on using Nick again in the future!
Nick has always done an amazing job, he is super excited to see my dog and walk her. Today that I wasn't feeling well he was really sweet and gave my dog 15 minutes extra walking.
Nick was awesome and our dog had so much fun!! He did everything I asked and sent photos and videos of the whole visit!
Nick has been great. He has been amazing with our Cody.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe that consistency is key when it comes to quality pet care. Your animals will be used to you, your care routine and approach to care generally so I do my best to align with myself to this. That being said, I’ve been trained in a fear-free approach which aims to reduce fear, stress and anxiety by becoming aware of each animals unique disposition and subsequent triggers/stressors, removing/altering the animals immediate environment to curb any negative effects and lastly using mindful handling techniques that cater to the animals specific needs. Simply put - I’ll make sure your doggies will be happy pups whilst you’re away!
Information Nick Z. would like to know about your pet
I can handle any and all breeds and have been trained to handle a multitude of different dispositions! Let me know if there are any special needs that your dog has prior to any visit so that I can give you the best care. Helpful information includes: - Personality (Shy; enthusiastic; anxious, etc,) - Physical Fitness (Fully healthy; carrying any injuries, etc.) - Mastered / New Commands and Training Goals (knows sit, stay and looking to work on loose leash walking) - Motivations (Food motivated; play orientated, etc.) - Emotional Triggers (Other dogs; people; children, motorcycles; etc.) - Willingness to Socialise with Others - Preferred Walking Routes
A typical day
A physically and mentally fit dog is a happy dog! I like to do plenty of various games that are designed to keep your bestie feeling satisfied after each visit! My favourite place to take dogs for walks are local parks (Frick Park, Mellon Park, etc.) so that they can take in all of the smells of the natural world!

Availability
At the moment, I’m about to begin PhD research so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule. I’m happy to say I can accommodate any hour of the day for dog walks and offer house sitting and stop ins.
